Spouse of Stroke Patient

My husband had a stroke 98 His left side is weak. He refuses to do therepy. We do not have secondary coverage only Medicare . We are Ameicans. No doctor unders that we are on a fix income and need a dr to work with us. My husband gets into fits where he acts crazy by throwing things, insult you, not get involved in an arguement in the family. He had his memory, he can speak.But he said all his life he was served a bad hand he does not care about anything. I can not live like this. I never know which personality he is. It is very hard to tolerate him. Any suggestions on how to hand him when he gets this way? He refuses to test his sugar. I know when his sugar goes up. He get worse.
