Tina,
Thnks for the reply! I know that alcohol stays in your system for a while, but I think it's something else. I get the dizziness even when I don't have the beer...
I'm guessing this is not a symptom of hypothyrodism from your reply. Smoking also constricts blood flow...I didn't have the dizziness before I started smoking, so I'm suspecting that. Do you really think it's the moderate drinking? I've always heard not to drink at all while taking anti-depressants. I've tried both and my experience is it's not a big deal for me, but that's just me.
: : Hello,
: : Occasionally when I get up from sitting down, I am dizzy and almost faint. There's some shaking and "muscle failure" as well.
: : I haven't fainted yet though, and keep forgetting to mention this as a symptom.
: : Any experiences? I'm taking 10 mg paxil, 75 mg effexor -- I thought a month ago this was due to the dosages of these.
: : Concerned, I got a checkup and got a TSH result of 5.77. Now taking synthroid, .O5.

: Hi Mick,
: I really hate to say this but if you are still having a couple of drinks while you are on the antidepressants that could be causing your dizzyness.
: Please don't hate me for having to say it, but it's true..they do not mix. Sorry, Tina
:
: : Still get the dizziness occasionally.
: : Thanks,
