: My blood work says I have an overactive thyroid. My doctor says I have none of the symtoms and in fact, quite the opposite. I have been gaining weight, instead of losing. I am really tired instead of hyper. Have any of you faced this dilemma and how have you solved your problem? I am really new to this and a little scared.
Some times when you have been hyper for a while your body reacts by eating more than normal and it is working so fast your tired alot. The best thing to do in my opinion is to get your thyroid levels back with in the normal range. other sites to check are www.endocrineweb.com and www. about.com go to health and t then look at the list and you will see thyroid.
