: : : : Can't seem to get my Thyroid stabilized, was diagnosed with Hasi's about 20 years ago and have always been tired, cold and no energy. I go to my MD on Wed and am considering asking for the new T3 along with Synthroid or switching to Armour. Has anyone done this? Or does anyone have any advise on anything to do other than doseage change to get my TSH under control.

: : : : Thanks

: : : : Deb :-)

: : : Deb, I was on armor and synthoid for a while. I took it once a day (not twice w/armor) I didn't see any difference. There is another T3 supplement that can be used with synthroid. Check our www.about.com and go to thyroid there are many good articles on various subjects.

: : Deb,
: Deb, I have been on Armour thyroid for 8 years. I was on Thyrolar #2 for 10 years previously and my thyroid shot up with no reason. The endocronoligist put me on synthroid and tested me for over 1 year. I gained 10 lbs felt horrible , my TSH tests came back as low, low thyroid. The Dr. would not try Armour so I obtained my Armour myself, medicated myself had my Dr. in Idaho check my TSH and it was within normal limits. I have never lost the 10 lbs but I feel normal and my tests are normal.
: : I switched to Armour from Sythroid but don't know no new test results yet. I feel a bit more aware as nebulous as that may sound. What is new T3?

: : M

This is for M. Please tell me how you obtained Armour without your docotrs prescription. I am having every symptom known to man of hypothyroidism. I am constantly told it is not my thyroid although I am being treated with synthroid for hypopituitary disorder. I have tried several different doctors without success. I am very desperate and want to know how I can obtain a medictauion I feel will make a difference in my quality of life. Please respond with info.
