Gen- that is always a good question. It has a lot to do with your insurance and if you have a referal. I have found that if you have a HMO your primary Dr hessitates with refering you. and if you are lucky enough to have blue cross/sheild or a HMO w/out the referal clause. A good Dr always has a wait period for new patients. I have seen up to 3 months. An endoconologist is a good choice but a internal medicine Dr can be just as good. See if you can find more than on Dr in your area that specilizes and see what the waiting period is and there reps. You may not care for the Dr you choose 1st. As many here will atest to.
