Just diagnosed hypo 7 weeks ago

Hi, I was diagnosed with sever hypothyroidism about 7 weeks ago. I was put on Synthroid 0.1, started feeling better then went for my 2nd blood test my level was at 11.5 still high so I have been upped to 0.125 of the synthroid. I too have been on paxil for about 3 years and after reading these messages I feel maybe I don't need to be on it, depression is a sign of hypothyroidism. I am going to decrease my paxil to every other day for a while and see what happens. Before this I wanted to go off it and my doctor was going to start decreasing me in December. So many more symptoms, I actually had quit smoking in May and blamed that on how I was feeling. Sure glad I went to the doctor.
