I am really upset. I saw an endocrinologist for the first time yesterday and it was awful. My family doc did a TSH test and it came back that my thyroid was overactive (hyper). He sent me to this guy. The endo was demeaning and rude, insinuating that I got all my symptoms off the internet and telling the medical student that was with him that, along with rolling his eyes whenever I would tell him about another symptom. He said that I "don't look" like someone with hyperthyroidism and he has seen a lot of them. (My family doctor's lab results were faxed and barely readable) The thing that really concerns me is that he lifted my shirt and then asked me to unhook my bra. He then exposed my breasts and touched around my left breast suppossively looking for fluttering. Is this a normal part of an exam. I feel degraded and humiliated. Please respond. Thank you. Dawn
