Thanks a lot Susan for the response
the report says,
that there is diffuse heterogenity in the echo pattern of both thyroid lobes. No discrete dominant mass is seen. The size of right lobe is 6.6 X 1.7 x 1.3 cms and that of left is 6.4 X 1.3 X 1.9 cms.
The doctor who did the ultrasound has also said in the report to correlate this with thyroid function and thyroid nuclear scan.
My doctor has asked me to go for the scan.
Could you tell me
1) what is the normal size of thyroid? Whether mine is bigger than the normal?
2) Your inference on the ultrasound report.
