: In looking at many of the complaints on this board I realize that I have no symptoms. I have a huge lump on my thyroid and am scheduled for a biopsy. I have a little tenderness that has just started, but now my doctor wants to see me and I am afraid that they will want to jump to surgery. Yet I feel great, energy level is very good, sleeping is good, no depression, and I hesitate to start messing with it. Should I postpone surgery if the doctor suggests it? What about biopsy? I also see an alternative medicine doctor who put me on a vitamin WITH iodine and kelp. Until this point I had no pain in the lump? What does pain in the lump mean? PLEASE RESPOND SOON! I HAVE AN APPONTMENT TODAY AND COULD USE SOME ADVICE!
A biopsy is probably a good idea. go to www.endocrineweb.com and there is lots of information on nodules. Please sign up on the new board.
