i had radiation treatment in '99 one month after my surgery as well. i was supposed to stay in the hospital for three days. i was releases after one day, because my radiation levels were low enough
to go home.
i get a radioactive iodine 131 whole body scan every year...
no, thank goodness, no side effects.
