Hello.
I have a new doctor now and he offered me as an alternative to surgery (hot nodule) RAI treatment. The problem is that I have been researching about it on the web and found some pretty scary statements about possible side effects. I don't know what to think. My doctor says it is absolutely safe (?!). Actually I have talked to many doctors who said the same. If it depends only on my choice I will avoid this surgery, that's for sure. Who wouldn't avoid a neck surgery with general anesthesia?? However, what would happen to me a few months from now? I would appreciate any help you could give me, for I am really lost here. I have a decision to take (surgery or RAI) and there is little time left. The surgery is supposed to happen five weeks from today.
