I was diagnosed with TMJ about 8 years ago, but have not had many problems until recently.
Six weeks ago, I had a very bad sinus infection and after 3 weeks of anitbiotics, my ears were still jurting - sharp, stabbing pain.
My ENT siad that this pain was refered from my jaw, which was aggrevated by the sinus infection. I am scheduled to have sinus surgery this summer.
Has anyone had problems like this? The pain is not intense, thank goodness, but is more a constant ache that won't go away.
It aches behind my ear and up my temple and across the top of my head.
Muscle relaxers have helped, but can I take these forever? Thanks.
