I have TMJ disorder & FMS fibromyalgia. Someone from a FMS board sent me here because of my question. I experience what almost feels like a panic attack, they normally happen when driving (have not been driving) or being driven by somone else. My husband took me to the emerg department during one of these attacks & they did not think it was a panic attack my pulse, respirations & BP were all normal. When I have one of these attacks I feel very dizzy & very nauseated & I feel like I am going to pass out. I know someone with TMJ problems who used to pass out at work. The drs still say they do not know what is causing these attacks, I am wondering if I am clenching my jaw & putting stress on the nerves in that area. I also have been in 5 MVA's in just over 2 yrs that were not my fault & am fighting with the insurance company therefore under a lot of stress. If you are not sure if you have TMJ problems your dentist should be able to check for this or send you to someone who can. I wonder if anyone else experiences this dizziness?
Best of luck,
Cathy
: I had a 4 wheeler injury to my chin about 15 years ago. My jaw use to get stuck many years ago and also make the worst popping sounds. Since then I have been to the Dr., for neck pain, headaches and just recently dizziness
: He gave me anivert.(which makes me really sleepy) I have been diagnosed
: with sinus problems, ear infections etc...Their big
: question is "Have you been under alot of stress?"
: Since then I did some investigation on the internet
: about headaches. I have found that I think
: I may have TMJ, but the problem is I just got a
: new job a switched to a different insurance comnpany.
: My dizziness has become so bad that I can't think or see
: straight. I have a loss of balance. It scares me
: when I drive. I am dizzy all of the time!!! I even feel nausious at times. I often wonder what
: it would be like to feel normal again. This has been going on for approximately 3 months.
: I have also had a period every 10 days for the last 3 months. Has any one else experienced this?
: Has any one else experienced Insurance companies refusing to pay because of pre-existing illness?
: Has any one else had these symtoms? Does any one know
: what the worse case scenario of TMJ is?
