: I was just wondering if any of you experience tingling and a burning like sensation in your cheeks and down to the tip of your nose as
: a result of TMJ. I am a little bit worried that this could be a sign of another problem all together
: because I don;t see this listed as a symptom on any of the information I have researched.
: I would appreciate any comments from anyone. Thanking you in advance,

Anngie - I have been grinding my teeth for years however, I've never been officially diagnosed as suffering from TMJ. After reading the material on TMJ I don't doubt that I suffer from it. I also have the facial tingling that you describe. It starts up near my cheek - near my eye and travels down to the corner of my mouth. Basically, it is very irritating. Sometimes it even hurts a little bit.
I recently was examined by three different neurologists who each told me that eventually it would stop - just give it time. Obviously, if you are afraid it is something more serious, you should see a neurologist to allay your fears.
I hope all turns out well - Joe
