: A few years ago, I fell and hit my head on a concrete floor and a counter. Since around that time, I have gotten bad headaches (that seem like migraine or sinus), my jaw pops or cracks (which seems to relieve stiffness), and I have a lot of tension in my upper back and neck. Could this be TMJ? My insurance doesn't cover treatment for this disorder, and I have never really been to a doctor about it. I don't know if I grind my teeth at night or not. The headaches and muscle tension are very aggravating, but the headaches occur at different frequencies. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yes, I have a suggestion...please see a doctor! You had a head injury and you're having headaches, you really need to see someone. It sounds like TMJ might be part of it, but head injuries can be very serious and can pose problems even a couple of years later. The very least you should do, is see a chiropractor. Good luck, but go see someone!
