What medicine do you take for the TMJ pain??

My doctor has recently prescribed me 2400mg of ibuprofen a day to help stop the pain ive been having
in my head and jaw area. I have noticed though that whenever i would take some of my medicine, i would
have severe stomach cramping and nausea for the rest of the day. I then took my dosage down to normal
(like it says on an over the counter bottle) and i still had the stomach problems. I have had to stop taking
the ibuprofen all together. My doctor is now suggesting extra strength tylenol, which honestly, hasnt done
me a bit of good. I have an appointment with another oral surgeon next month, i hope he can help me.
