My orthodontist is reccomending I have a herbst apliance put in and then braces to help reposition my jaw. I seem to have tmj disorder due to a developmental defect in my lower jaw. Has anyone (an adult) had experience with this appliance? Did any bone growth occur? Where can I find out more about this particular treatment
