: I am only 13 years old, and my mom thinks I have the beginning of TMJ. My jaw is comstantly popping, and sometimes locked. I am being responsible about it, and doing jaw and breathing exercises, and applying heat to it. Should I be worried? What else should I do? Should I see a doctor? In how long? Yes, you should see a Doctor to get a clear picture of what is wrong. There are many treatments that don't hurt and can prevent TMD from getting worse.
