I have a tremendous amout of pain in the left side of my jaw. It has always popped and made a grinding noise for as long as I can remember. About two months ago I went to the dentist for a tooth ache and he informed me that I needed to go to an orthidontist. He said that I need to have my jaw broke and I also need braces. I told him that for about the past year my jaw locks quite frequently, and has been swelling and hurting more. My question is.... should I see an orthidontist or an oral surgon?
