: My top wisdom teeth came in when I was about 21, and my bottom teeth were impacted and never came through the skin. I am now 25 and put off having my wisdom teeth removed until last week. My oral surgeon pulled the top two teeth and had to cut the buttom two out. On about the third day after surgery, I knew something was wrong, the wisdom teeth theirselves felt pretty good, however I had so much muscle pain in the temples and right below my ear. I went back and these are signs of TMJ. I had never had any trouble before, no jaw pain at all. I did have a few clicks when I opened my jaw really wide but nothing really noticeable. Thanks,

Please be very careful gettin them taken out,, That procedure alone can CAUSE tmj,,, I know cause that how I first got tmj- They open ur mouth sooo wide to get your teeth out that it DisLocated my jaw on one side. If u have ANY pain that don't stop after the procedure, Do something fast,,,
