For nearly a year, I have had serious problems with the alignment of my jaw. It often sticks for days and leaves me in pain and distress. I have spoken to my doctor and he tells me that it has to do with the muscles in my jaw, but I am still leery. Is there anything else you can tell me about this disorder? I have cramping and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. If I contracted this, how could I have done so? Is there any kind of test I can ask for when I see my doctor next? Will an x-ray indicate anything? If I do not have lock jaw, what could be causing this pain? Possibly my wisdom teeth or a tongue piercing? Any single bit of information will be helpful to me. Pleas contact me at the above email at your earliest convenience. Thank you so very much for your time.

Sincerely,

Erin L. Astley
