Name: The Destroyer of ACNE Age: 21 Type: Severe ACNE (not cystic) Medications that I am Currently on: 1. Stievamycin topical gel (night time) 2. Benzamycin topical gel (mornings) 3. Minocycline 50 MG twice a day PLUS 4. Vitamin B5 (Panothenic Acid) 5Grams per day and 5. Zinc 50 MG per day. Results so far: after 4 weeks or so of properly using the gels, they seem to be speeding up the healing of the acne marks and making the pimples go away faster, but do not prevent them from forming. Ive been on Minocyclin for less then 3 weeks and do not see any results from that yet. B5 seems to help a bit. I havent been on zinc long enough to see any changes. ------------------ |

wusssssssssup So this is where u hang out.. well anyways.. name: Jimmy Jam (not real last name) Been on B-5 for 2 months and also zinc, multi vit, vit A,E,stress pill. I find that if I use b-5 properly (using everyday ) I see great results. But if I stop for a day or even not take enough, oil starts coming back and I would break out. RIght now I cant seem to take it allll the time cause I have wrestling tournies tournaments all time and dont have time to take them or dont have them on me. ANd also started 10% glycolic acid for scars. First day was amazing. My ****ty scars started to fade already!!! well c ya |

What I have tried that did not work: 1. Over the counter creams and soap: benzoyl peroxide, sulfer, glycolic acid, etc... 2. Dermatologist prescribed: Accutane (worked for some months and then stopped working, took it again two years later and it was a disaster), cleocin T, retin-a, ortho tri-cyclen, and minocycline (helped heal but not prevent new acne.) 3. Proactiv Solution: made my skin less irritated but didn't have any affect on my acne. 4. Natural: homeopathic pills, changing eating habits (helped a little, but not reliable), different vitamin stacks. 5. Birth Control Pills: seemed to help a little for my chest and back but not much on my face.
1. Large doses of B5- 6000-10,000mg per day 2. Colonics (professional cleansing of the colon) once a month. 3. Vitex (chasteberry)(combination formula)- regulates hormones over time. 4. Zinc 60mg (works like antibiotics), Chromium 600mcg (insulin control), MSM 8000mg (sulfur from the inside out, instead of the outside in.) 5. Wash with water or Cetaphil and create a mixture of a couple drops of tea tree oil, and Oxygen in liquid form in 5 ounces of water. Then pat on face with cotton ball. 6. Lots of water throughout the day and at least a couple servings of whole foods (leafy greens are the best) and if not I take plant enzymes to make sure I digest food properly. I think most of us who have had acne for more then a couple years know that acne is happening from somewhere inside and that anything we put on our skin from the outside is never going to do the trick by itself...it just creates a temporary band-aid, if that. The approach above is just an attempt to cover all possible bases and my skin has never been clearer then when I began this regimen. I often get sad when I think of all the time I wasted with Dermatologists and their lack of understanding of acne in general. I also get the feeling that the causes of our acne are varied enough that everyone has to try treat was is wrong with them in particular: Some of us may have diabetic skin, or hormonal imbalances, and others eating habits which can cause allergic skin reactions, clogged colons that excrete toxins to the skin, poor digestion, candida, etc. (I can't list all the causes I've heard about here but I am sure you have read about others.) -Kris |

Christopher Lee RETIN-A MICRO and DOXYCYCLINE (Countered with, Brevoxyl -4 lotion wash, erythromycin pads) Before on this board I complained about how this wasn't working and that I was 2 months in with Retin-a micro and a month in with Doxy pills. Well, I hope my eyes aren't tricking me, but it seems my skin is clearing up. It looking very smooth. And the oil seems less and less. I thinking about complaining to my derm all last week for tomorrow's appointment, but I guess I might stay on this since she got's me coming every twice a months and says she wants my acne gone by spring time. Nice! |
