Id like as many guys to reply to this as possible...because I dont really have a clue. You see my school has never really forced us to have showers...which is fine by me but as a result I havent seen that many guy's tackle! So I was just wondering, I have like about 1cm of foreskin that comes off the end of my penis...it looks kind of like a little "nozzle"! How normal is this...I dont really like the way it looks too much...if its not really normal, is there anything you can have done by the doctors, like just a little snip to remove it? |

Hey man, you're normal. No two foreskins look the same and some are short and some are long. My friend growing up isn't cut and his has that nozzle kinda thing. There isn't anything you need to have done with it as long as its skin will retract all the way back past the head with no problem when erect. If it won't then there are dozens of posts on here about how to fix it yourself at home without a doctor visit. Don't sweat it, everybody says it's a lot better to be uncut because it's more sensitive. |

Yeah foosballfan is right. The Greeks even had a special name for it, the acroposthion (Gk akro = peak, posthe = foreskin) "The visually defining, tapered, fleshy, nipple-like portion of the foreskin that advances beyond the terminus [tip] of the underlying glans penis." http://www.circumstitions.com/Glossary.html#ANATOMY It does not matter how much foreskin you have when soft what matters is how things work when erect. If you can pull your foreskin back when erect without pain you have nothing to worry about. One guy on one of the other discussion boards even debates whether being able to retract lessens sexual pleasure but most guys prefer to be able to do this. If your foreskin is too tight to pull back this can be corrected through simple stretching. In the past American doctors refered to "redundant foreskin" but this was just an excuse to circumcise. They still tend to use circumcision as a first treatment for any minor foreskin problem rather than a last resort as doctors elsewhere would do. This recent post on the Fathermag forum was most interesting. http://forum.fathermag.com/circ/041/forum/messages/75975.shtml |
