Hello everyone, I am new here but will probably stick around until I am happy with my skin. I have suffered from acne since I was about 11 years old and have had it moderately to severely then back to moderate again. My face is not the only problem anymore, however. The last couple years the virus has spread to my shoulders, back and chest and is very ugly. I have used many creams/oral prescriptions but everything has done nothing. I have done home remedies, pro-active- ice-cubes, tooth-paste with little to no effect.

From reading this board I have decided to try to B5 Vitamin method... I have read a book where B5, VE, B6 and Acidopholus is lacking from our diets. This is Day 2 where I have supplemented these vitamins into my diet. Btw I am 18 years of age now.

My questions are:

1) Those who have found B5 treatments successful... how long has your skin been clear.. and has it come back?

2) Does B5 work also on back/chest/shoulder acne? (reason I ask is someone claimed Accutane is the only thing that can cure non-face acne) but I dont understand why exactly.

3) Another product that interested me is Aloe Vera, especially the gel. Who has used this and did it work well? How was your acne when you started to use it?

Thanks to all who read/replied.

Hi, I cant answer your question as to B5 treatment but i can say that I have cleared my acne with aleo vera. I used many other things before, the usual OTC's which did nothing for me except irritate my skin. If you decide to use aleo vera make sure youre using a 99% gel, it is a clear gel with a jelly-like texture. you can also buy some aleo juice and use it as a toner before you apply the gel and there are alos aleo vera pills which will help cleanse your body plus provide you with loads fo vit E which is essential to healing.

Thankyou ver much for the response. Did you purchase your aloe vera gel over the internet? If so, where? I have only seen the liquid in my shops where I live. (Alberta, Canada).

Did you ever have body acne? Did the gel fix that up?

I have a green Aloe Vera Gel which says 98% Aloe Vera, I have heard to find the clear 99.9% one but can this one still work or have they added in different chemicals? Does AV work on bacne!? It says it has Vitamin A & E complex in it.

Thanks

my b5 experience was not that great.. i took it for 3 months.. mostly on 6 grams but i upped it to 10 for a couple weeks. It made my oily skin go away but i broke out exculusivly on my temples and forehead... REALLY bad... so i quit it..
