Again, I suggest not to pop pimples... I used to do it when I was about 13 and realized in the long run all it did as spread the infection and make a rash type acne patch on my cheeks. My face just looks sunburned all year long now if you look at me from a distance. As for the mark... I suggest trying tee tree oil... its working a bit for me now.

Good luck!

Hey sushieater, I know what you mean. I tried tea tree oil too a few times. It seemed like it burned the crap out of my skin so I had to stop using it. I heard its bad to use for your face too because its suppose to be for scrapes and cuts, not zits. I choose not to use this on my face anymore, it wrecked too much havoc!

Hydrocortizone cream can be good to help calm the redness and swelling of cysts occasionally, but do not use it too often. It can thin the skin if used too liberaly, so use it only for emergencies.

Agree with TimDream - do not use hydrocortisone to often or you will cause permanent damage. You can try Visine - it really does get the red out. You can try putting some on a q-tip and put it in the freezer before you put it on, it will decrease the swelling and the redness.

to sushieater1:

If 1 zit is all you deal with on a normal basis or at the most 3. Then please, YOU NEED TO NOT STRESS! Enjoy your life because I was like that and I would always worry and try to find cures. IF, and only IF you deal with 3-4 at the most I am directly this toward you. If your problem is alot worse then my bad. You never know when you could end up like me, went on accutane always had 60+ ALL OVER. mostly big white heads and 5-7 cysts all the TIME! Taken out of school and put on independent study. Havent gone out ANYWHERE, LITERALLY!, since November 2002. Still hoping to be clear one day. Hopefully after accutane which will be done for me on March 30th or so. And expecially if you dont have an acne "PROBLEM" then dont waste time on these message boards. Go live! Like I have been waiting to do and never know when I will be able to again.

Yes, I could go out and still do things. But I, myself, CAN'T! I only have fun when I dont have to worry abotu my face.

And ever since August 2002 or so it got to the point where I couldnt take it. And being home alone 24-7, seven days a week, walking around with a towel on my head and a sheet over my bathroom mirror with a nightlight so I can take a shower because I wont turn on the regular light because my back and shoulders are infested too was easier for me than going out..

I only MEANT everything I just said if you deal with really mild acne which I dont even call acne I just call it a caouple of zits. But thats just me. I look at picture of me in 10th grade that I didnt want my mom to put up because I had A BUNCH of spots. NOw I look at that same picture and I LITERALLY CANNOT FIND 1 !!! I wish I was back then again..............
