Hi everyone, I am just curious if anyone has any remedy or suggestions to help with my form of acne. I dont get pimples or any thing, I generally get the bumps under the skin that sometimes turn into cysts, the surface of my skin is smooth an all, but once I get the lumps under, the keep getting bigger and bigger till they generally explode. I am get so upset when I get these, it seems right when I get rid of one another comes along. What is causing this, why cant I stop it. Has anyone had simular problems.., YOUR input is really appreaciated. I bought ProActive Solution, it made my skin smooth, but I still get the lump acne under th skin. What can I do, my world is falling apart because of these big lumps under my skin. Its getting to the point where I just hide in my house and turn dowm career opportunities and night out with my friends. The only think that works is Cortisome Shots, thats it, but getting 6- 12 needles in the face is very painful after a while.

My Derm is no help, she just keeps saying clogged pores.

Josh

I would try Accutane if you can afford it. Talk to a new derm also.

Sounds exactly like my problem. I feel your pain! It's so hard to deal with social situations and potential career opportunities when you feel like this. I am waiting to hear on a new job. I want it, but damn, if I have to walk into the interveiw looking like this.... anyway!!!

What I would suggest is to leave it alone for sure. I am speaking for experience on this one. I couldn't keep from trying to pop one of mine, and it turned into like five of them instead of just one.

Next, I would ice it.I don't know if yours are like mine, but they hurt so bad! Ice makes them feel so much better and helps the swelling go down. SOmetimes I wish I could just walk around with an icepack all day!

As far as something to use topically, the jury is still out for me. I have pretty much tried it all. The only thing I haven't is acutane because I am terrified of the side effects (planning to have kids soon). SO that would be another option for you, but I don't have any personal experience with it.

Currently I am using a sulfur-based topical on the cysts. Seems to be o.k., I guess. Better than any bp or sal. acid, etc. What are you using on them? I have also tried the tea tree oil thing, but think that makes them even redder. Don't need to draw any more attention there, ya know?!

These suckers never go away! The way I look at it is the best I can do is keep the swelling and redness down until they finally dry up. When you come up with the cure, let me know!

Two things I have heard that may help..... one is hemmoroid cream you can buy over the counter... it tends to reduce inflamation.... another thing is to mix yeast with water and apply it on the face.... I have tried both ways and I think the hemmoroid cream did a better job

Thanks Amy for Replying, Yes! Ive tried Accutane and it did get rid of the Oil and the Cysts and Pimples - I had normal skin and I really enjoyed it. This was achieved after 3-4 months on the Accutane Treatment. I didnt break out if I went to bed with makeup (that I used to cover small its that were not gone when I went out - my skin got beter and better instead. But the only thing I hated was the sore joints. That summer I ened up with a cast from just spraining my angle - I fractured it. I think Accutane contributed to that. Besides it only came back after a couple of months off the treatment. So would I go on Accutane again knowing that the Acne does come back in Time - NO! I was sore- my lips were always cracking - even if I just yawned, it was very painful because the corner of my lips would cut open - it was painful eating sometimes. And I was depressed or anything - I was always a happy person, until a couple of months after the treatment, I became ver sad and depressed! If took a couple of months to snap to my old self again. If only there was a pill that did what Accutane did for me - but with no side effects .

P.s. I'll try the Hemmroid Cream (and cross my fingers too)

Thanks for responding

I have the exact same thing. Try not to touch them at all -- i know its hard to resist but really if you don't touch them, in a few days the swelling will go down. Wash ur face then at night take 2 ibuprofen for the swelling and apply benzoyl peroxide, mint julep mask, or some other sort of product to dry the pimple up. calamine lotion maybe? i've tried all these and they help to dry pimples up. also, aloe vera! use the pure stuff, it works sooo well on acne I think good luck! ~SuN.KiSSeD~
