Okie dokie, I've pretty much made up my mind to buy one of these to help clear up my red marks...but which one? Would both be a good idea or a waste of time

Maybe we could get some sort of poll going here?

Multi-Vitamin Lotion for sure. I don't really know about the Healthy Skin lotion, but the Multi-Vitamin is well suited for blemished skin. It's light and has an unusual texture, but it definitely doesn't clog pores. It also contains an AHA along with a BHA, which does wonders. However, it should be noted, this stuff does not work like a miracle--it's a progressive treatment. My problem is after the stuff clears me up, I stop using it (thinking I don't need it anymore). I need to just use it constantly and I should be relatively blemish free.

Also, this stuff seems to be particularly useful with fighting milia (those annoying bumps on the forehead that don't seem to go away). I recently had a case of milia and with the help of steam, apple cider vinegar, and this Multi-Vitamin lotion, it is fading fast. Fantastic! And people kept telling me the only way to clear milia is through lancing or microdermabrasion. I say, HAH!

Well im gonna have to go with the healthy skin lotion. I tried the multi vitamin and it did very little. Ive been on the healthy skin lotion for like 2 weeks and my red marks look better and my overall skin tone looks alot better.

healthy skin face lotion 4 sure !!! I used that multi vitamin lotion for about a year and saw NO results ... the lotion is not oil free and is pink, so when you put it on , it makes your red marks look worse

after only about 3 weeks of using the healthy skin face lotion my red marks have dramaticaly been reduced ... and my overall skin complexion looks 10 times better than before ... if your skin is not use to AHA or is bothered by it, try the sensitive skin version of this ... it's fragrance free ... if not, the regular version gives you a slight tingle ... thats the AHA doing it's job ...

So, speaking from someone who has lots of red marks and has tried both these products , go with the healthy skin face lotion if you want results ... go with the multi vitamin treatment if you want oily, pink skin

Okay, since I'm outnumbered, maybe I should clarify my preference. The Multi-Vitamin treatment is for those with continual acne problems. The Healthy Skin lotion (I actually have used it before but didn't remember until I visited Neutrogena's website) is good for getting rid of red marks. However, if you continue to have blemishes, the Multi-vitamin lotion is far better. Healthy Skin won't treat blemishes--it's a superficial lotion. The Multi-vitamin treatment contains both AHA and BHA, which combats acne to prevent the ugly red marks from appearing in the first place. Yes, it's pink, but it is not a moisturizer like the Healthy Skin is. Using an additional moisturizer (preferably with sunscreen) is recommended. I follow-up the Multi-vitamin treatment with Neutrogena's DryTouch sunblock, which leaves a fairly matte finish. Since I have a pink complexion, it doesn't really affect me too much. However, I've never noticed my skin to have an extra pink hue after using the product. To each their own, I suppose.

Oh I absolutely agree with you there ... I only use the healthy skin lotion to fade my red marks and even out my skin tone ... at night I use my Paula's Choice BHA and my BP so I really have all 3 : AHA , BHA , and BP - I just use seperate products and at diff. times to get the desired effect 4 each one If your breakouts aren't gone, then the healthy skin lotion won't treat them ... but it will help soften those red marks and your overall skin complexion

Paula's Choice BHA is the ONLY salicylic acid product I have ever had results with ... it's the only one that is actually clearing out my pores which is what BHA is supposed to do ... great stuff if you do need BHA as well

i really liked the Healthy Skin Lotion cuz it totally faded all the red marks that i had before. And plus, you can get it with an spf counterpart! Or something like that. Well anyway, mine comes with an spf, so i apply it in the morning and get sun protection. I also bought the Multi-Vitamin Acne treatment, and like you, i was thinking about putting both treatments on. However when I applied the multi vitamin under the Healthy Skin Lotion moisturizer, my face turned pretty pink. If you're concentrating on getting rid of those red marks, I'd suggest using the healthy skin lotion, rather than the multi-vitamin. Interestingly enough, both products contain about the same ingredients. By looking at the box that they come in, they have glycolic acid-bunch of vitamins etc.

also, I know glycolic acid products can usually be quite expensive ... the healthy skin lotion is about $11.00 and the multi vitamin lotion is about $6.oo ... I just figure they charge more for the more effective product ... not ALWAYS the case, but in this situation, I think it fits ... after you put on the healthy skin lotion, you FEEL like you have put good things on your face (like vitamin e, vitamin a, aha, ect) ... for me, when I tried to put the multi vitamin treatment on, I just felt oily and red ... go figure

JackLucifer: The ingredients are listed on the box--not the bottle. I kept the box around just for this purpose.

By the way, I just received my Paula's Choice purchase: the BHA liquid solution, Blemish fighter, skin balance cleanser, non-greasy moisturizer and the oil-absorbing mask--so far, the oil-absorbing mask works amazingly well! I used it last night. I'll keep everyone updated on how these products work (they better--for only 2 oz. bottles of the BHA, blemish fighter, moisturizer and mask, it cost me about $65 with 2-day S&H).

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'll give the healthy lotion the go since my main concern is fading my red marks. I do still have minor breakouts so I'll keep searching for a good BHA lotion but there are absolutely none in the stores over here. I'll see if my budget can handle having Paula ship some out to me
Thanks again

i think either the healthy skin or multi vitamin has both AHA and BHA. but i remembered reading that these two shouldnt be used together..so i am kinda confused. also my skin is very sensitive and kinda red (it might be rosacea but i dont feel the heat)..think its same to use either products, i dont want to risk agitating my skin further

Well so far so good.
I've been on the Healthy Skin Lotion for about a week now and can already see the difference in the feel and look of my skin which is overall healthier.
As for the red marks no real improvement so far but I think they might be becoming smaller if not lighter?! I'm not sure. Before my cheeks were looked like they were covered in red blotches now you can see each seperate spot.

Anyways I'm letting myself get my hopes up!

The Healthy Skin lotion, since it is not formulated for acne like the Multi Vitamin, may irritate any active acne you have. I personally did not like the Multi Vitamin at all - I have very oily skin and it just made it oily-er. It didn't seem to help my red marks either. I can't tell you how the Healthy Skin works on acne, since I started using it after I cleared my acne. I like it though, makes my skin smooth and supple looking.

Question about the Healthy Skin lotion: will you still be able to see results with the red marks if you put it on after you have put on bp??

I still have active acne and have found that since I've been using the HEalthy Skin Lotion I have been breaking out even less. I'm not sure if it's the Healthy Skin LOtion that is helping my breakouts because I started a BHA gel around the same time and I think that's probably what's doing it...but the Healthy Skin Lotion definaetly doesn't aggravate my active acne.

I apply the lotion after washing at night let it soak in for a while and then apply BP

I think I read above that the healthy skin lotion contains spf?? Is that right? Is it ok to use that (or any other spf moisturiser or something), instead of a proper sun cream? Or do you need extra sun protection too?

i just bought the healthy skin lotion with spf 15. i love it! im using it along with and aha face wash and the two work great together. they dried up my pimples and my face is getting smoother. i got it for $6.99 at target, not $11. so i guess target is the place to go if you are looking to buy this great product.

i use Beauty Without Cruelty 3% aha face wash. its all natural so youll have to visit your local organic food store to find it. its a great product and i hope it works for you too. best of luck. oh, and if you are going to use it alone. it takes a while to see changes so just be patient and itll pay off.

Hi rhyuths, I'm not sure If you're talking to me but I'll answer anyways
Healthy Skin Lotion doesn't contain both BHA and AHA the Multivitamin Lotion does however although one I think its the salicyclic acid is listed in the non-active ingredients though I'm not exactly sure how it can not be active.

Anyways so far I like what I'm seeing with this product. New red marks are definately healing much faster some to the point of disappearing altogether after only a few days. Marks that are a couple of months old seem to be taking longer. I guess it's best to get em while their young
