It's just an old wive's tale that Vitamin E will help scars. Just protect your skin from the sun so they don't get darker. I think all you can do for acne scars is wait for them to fade, or else pay a lot of money for some type of laser therapy or something.

Also, Vitamin E can be comedogenic (pore-clogging).

ur skin will renew itself every 28 days. what vitamin e does is that it will speed up the skin renewal to 14 days. that's why red marks will heal faster. it works for other type of scars as well, not just acne scars.

Vitamin E comes in a gel as well as a cream. I like to use the gel cause my T Zone does not look oily and shiny by 12. I like Vitamin E because helped the redness I used to get. I don't have bad acne, but my skin takes a long time to heal. So my chin was always red and rashed like a big squiggly birth mark around my chin (where I get blemishes).

If you have a couple and you feel you don't need meds use a Vitamin A night cream, a good one. They are basically the same. If you need meds I would ask for Stievamycin. The Ferrari of Vitamin A gels. During the day I use a Vitamin E gel. You'll see the difference, seriously.
