I like twinlab's b5. I found some at dealtime for much cheaper than the healthfood store (at least half the price).

You may want to try it. The reason people suggested the B 50 complex and biotin is twofold. First, taking only Pantothenic Acid (B5) depletes your body of other B vitamins. Also, some of the B vitamins and biotin especially helps your body to better absorb the Pantothenic Acid (leading to better results).

Finally, the biotin helps those who have noticed hair thinning or in some cases loss because biotin helps to restore your hair and nails.

I take sundown B50 complex and GNC's Hair Skin and Nails formula which has lots of biotin.

Are you properly spacing out the 10g during the day? For example 2g x 5 doses? By the way, yes, you definitely should take the b complex along with your b5. Just make sure you don't take the b complex at the same time as your b5 dose.

Good luck.

Hi,
I concur with the other posters... Here's what I take:
8 grams of B5 a day (2 grams 4 times a day). I take it around breakfast, lunch, dinner, and right before I go to bed. I also take 1 dose of B 50 complex vitamins split up into twice a day to avoid any possible B vitamin deficiencies that taking a large dose of one B vitamin(B5) might cause.

It's been 4 months now and it has worked incredibly well. I did have a breakout(cystic type even) about 2-3 weeks into taking it, but since then things have gotten better and better and better. I've been virtually clear (like 95% or so) for over 2 months! And I've been 100% clear of any type of cystic acne!

I too use the B5 from acnemiracle, though I don't think it matters where you get it. Oh, I don't use the topical B5 stuff that they include free with the oral powder though. The only topical stuff I use in the normal Clearasil products that I've always used for years and years.

Anyway, Yes... Make sure you split your B5 into at least 3 doses a say... 4 or 5 are even better. And stick to it. I almost gave up myself when I had the breakout a couple weeks into taking it. I'm sooo glad I didn't give up!
