My friend is 3 weeks along and still smoking. It PISSES me off. This might ruffle feathers but I feel if you smoke while pregnant knowing the risks then you are plainly dumb. I think you are wonderful for taking such positive steps in quitting. You are so smart for even taking intervention measures like relaxation techniques which should also help to prevent you from going back after the baby is here. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Luckyinlife, You're really responsible to quit smoking. Maybe this will help you give 'em up for good. My sister was a heavy smoker before her first child and she hasn't touched them for over eight years now. It's the best thing you can do for both you and your child. Congratulations! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I knew a girl at work that was pregnant and smoked all the time. Sadly, she lost her baby. Great job for quitting! You and your baby will thank you for it! Soon you won't be able to stand the smell of them! (I quit 4 years ago.) IP: Logged |

GOOD FOR YOU!! What helped me when I quit was to BELIEVE that smoking was not a crutch. It was never your friend, and you don't need anything to replace it. Unfortunately, the weight gain is hard to avoid, but you are going to be so much healthier for it. You've got the rest of your life to look forward to! Take care. IP: Logged |
