Here's my worry of the day...
I need to clean my windows and while I would normally just use windex, I am suddenly worried that I shouldn't b/c it might be toxic. Has anyone ever tried using vinegar and water? Am I just being silly again?

Vinegar and water are great for windows. You'll love it. I am not sure about Windex, but if vinegar and water work, why chance it? Cheap alternative too.

I use vinigar & water to clean all the time. What I love best about it is it takes any odors away! After the vinegar smell dissapates, it smells so fresh! It works wonderful!

thanks for your replies. I just told my DH that i was planning use vinegar and water and he said, "That will take a really long time, you have to scrub it on and then squeege it off." Can't I just mix it in a spray bottle and wipe it off? Sorry, that question is a little off topic of pg, but I just want to use the safest cleaning solutions possible.

I use white vinegar to clean everything from windows to showers, and it works incredibly well. I have a few spray bottles that I keep filled for cleaning purposes.

If you're interested in saving money on cleaning products as well as having fewer chemicals around the house, as I was, I recommend the books by the "Queen of Clean"; since reading her book, all I ever use to clean anymore is white vinegar, baking soda, SOS pads, and VERY occasionally a little bleach or Borax. I've saved a fortune, and I swear, the vinegar is the ONLY thing I've found (after spending tons on expensive products) that can get rid of hard water scale down here on the coast!

Go for it!
