Nevs from what I hear. You can buy vitamine E (if i'm not mistaking) capsules. Which I think you normally swallow but now you open them and use the contence on your skin to make the healing process speed up. I still havent started my treatment. And I was really anxious to start but now two people already have given up on the toothpaste. So as soon as sexlife come to a halt I will first of all try the toothpaste afterwhich I will try this anti corn stuff and if that dont work I will perhaps try iodine which seems to do the same as the anti corn stuff (groene duivel) but slower but maybe more agressively? Well i guess it is too bad that people here are losing faith in getting rid of them but the postive side is that its, well i guess you could say natural to accept them. Who am i kidding, I hate these things and as "natural" as i may think them to be, any chick who sees them i dont think will think the same. Oh man, i can just picture me saying that too. I gave up on the toothpaste too, it slightly worked around the coronal rim, but has made it really crispy and it needs to heel :-) I am now just simply using Aftershave on the ones on my shaft because it drys the skin...... try that lads cheers daveyj IP: Logged |

well this may be old news guys, but if you take vitamin A get capsuls and put the contents on your skin, it doesnt get rid of anything necesarily, but it makes the whole situation look a lot better. This is no solution i know, but it sure made me feel better. IP: Logged |

ok fellas, that vitamin A thing i said before, it seems to have helped a lot not just in making my skin look great, but it also has significantly reduced the visable number of them. I have been doing this process by chance that has seemed to be working. At night, clean the area thouroughly with something that dries quickly, like alcohol (in my case i used some astringent used for acne i found in my house). Then break open the vitamin A capsuls, as many as you find you need, and rub the oil it has inside them all over the "affected" area. Then just sleep on it and the next morning clean it thoroughly again so it sort of dries out. Repeat this process for a little bit and the skin in some area will painlessly just peel off and underneith the things will be gone and you'll hace some smooth a-- skin. It worked so far for me, ill keep it going and tell you if anything happens. IP: Logged |

no i havent goten rid of them, they are un-noticabvle and to small for me to care, but i just keep around just incase they get worse, besides, i got Fspots on my lips. PPP and Fordyce's spots are basicly the same. so .... that vitamen a thing is the same as iodine, just safer and cheaper IP: Logged |

Im really not sure about toothpaste as I have fordyce spots all over my top lip and when brushing my teeth with toothpaste they have never reduced any of them on my lips. I think that for Fordyce spots on the folded foreskin they must come about due to the moisture wet condition after you have a piss. probably after years of doing this u get pimples but then again not on everyone. I wish the doctors and stupid dermatologists would try and cure these things cos for excessive cases like I have then it is a total dead end for sex life! IP: Logged |

You guys need to quit complaining. I have had sex with many girls and most of them do not even notice these things. My girlfriend has giving me blow jobs and has NEVER noticed. If you partner asks about it, just tell them that about 1 in every 5 guys have them, and that most girls prefer them. They are like built in french ticklers man. It will drive your girl wild. Hey guys, I'm new but I've read around and have been on the iodine treatment for about 3 days now and I'm wondering if I'm applying the correct amount. Should the skin be discolored afterwards? And also, should the iodine be STRICTLY on the papules, because I find it awfully hard to keep the iodine only on them since it runs and stuff. Finally, should I be applying whole drops to each bump or just enough to make it look moist? Thanks in advance! IP: Logged |

no idea about the iodine.......haven't thought about trying it(unless it does actually make them smaller). Maybe i'll give it a go next week. As for that guy who said to ignore them. Obviously his are so tiny that you need a microscope. Most guys have PPP that are very noticeable and are just annoying to have and look at. Woman can notice them, unless they don't use their tongues when performing oral ... there must be some way to get rid of these ugly outcrops of skin. IP: Logged |

i had these things forever since i was 7 years old.. they use to freak me out when i first noticed them but i didnt tell anyone and no im sort of releived they are nothing.

I noticed PPP at about 12-13 years old, but didn't want to get rid off them until a few years later. Can't even remember how they appeared, its like they just came from nowhere. PPPproblem - what are you using to apply the iodine? The best thing to use is a small drip applicator that is found underneath the cap of the iodine bottle, but I could never find an iodine brand that came with this. So i'm using a graduated medicine dropper, which is just the same as an eye dropper. Not to try and stop you from going ahead with the iodine, but I'm almost through week 12 now, and every single bump is still intact, just a fair bit smaller and less noticeable. I can't figure out how this treatment is actually going to get rid of the white roots which are still clearly visible, but I'll keep trying. Keep us posted on how you are going. IP: Logged |

KoneKarma, thanks for your response, I use Walgreen brand 2% iodine tincture which comes with a handy dandy applicator under the cap and only cost me less than $2! I don't use neosporin or vitamin e, but I do wipe the area with Walgreen brand pre-prepared alcohol swabs (100 per box and $1.99). I'll keep you updated on my progress. IP: Logged |

Well I had fordyce spots/PPP and decided to get them burnt off today (about 4 hours ago). I also got circumsized at the same time, so I don`t know how the surgery went, since my penis is bandaged at the moment. I will find out in about 3 days I guess when I have to go back for a checkup. I`m not exactly sure how they burnt it off (I believe it was using some kind of laser that they use to get rid of a STD). I couldn`t smell a thing when I got it done. I decided to get circumsized at the same time for health reasons. There were alot of things that really made me worried. I had terrible thoughts about what they were doing to my penis during the operation, but it didn`t hurt one bit (except for the first few seconds when they injected anaesthetic into the base of my penis.... that was very painful) Well it is about 16 hours after operation and there seems to be no pain at all (I was given painkillers just in case). There was a little bit of bleeding in one area (though I was told this is normal) and it has stopped now. They gave me a list of instructions what to do after the operation, including medicine I am required to take. I believe if I only got my spots burnt off, then I wouldn`t have to go through this much trouble. IP: Logged |

You guys, I am serious. PPPs are bad, I have them. They are not a whole lot of fun. Don't let them control your sex life so much! You would be surprised to know how many girls don't really care. And yes, my PPPs are pretty bad too. I feel that if you can't get a woman into bed, it's not the PPPs that are keeping you away from it. If you are still too scared, just have sex with the lights off! I mean look at it this way, you can spend years trying to mutilate your penis with all these little remedies, and by the time you are 62 your PPPs will be gone. By then it is too late. Just go out and have a good time. And if a girl is freaked out by them, oh well. There is nothing you can do about it. I'm still doing my futile iodine attempts, not much fun. I agree with you all, we make a bigger deal than we need to about these bumps. The mental impact far outweighs the physical impacts of PPP, they're so frustrating. I'm going to a dermatoligest(sp?) in early June for my chronic hives, cause I have no clue what causes them.. Would that be the right person to ask about lazer surgery, or would I just be unknessesarily embaressing myself? When it comes down to it, I want to get it done, not for girls or guys or whoever else is gonna experience my dick, but for myself becuase it makes me really self conscious..And, having experienced them being gone when the Iodine treatment was working well, I can honestly say I think it's worth whatever short term embaressment or pain may occur with the surgery. Well I went for a checkup and all seems to be going well. There is bruising from the surgery which I was a little worried about, but according to the doctor it is normal. I wasn`t able to see the area where my PPP/fordyce spots were removed since that area was stitched up (I will get my stitches removed on the 14th day if nothing goes wrong). The shaft of the penis seems fine while erect, however since the area where I had surgery is still bandaged/stitched up, I still don`t know if I made the right decision. I have to go back this Friday for another checkup and to get the bandages changed. Things I am not suppose to do include: I`ll keep you guys posted. IP: Logged |

Honestly if I showed you my spots the ppp the ones over my lip and the fordyce spots over my foreskin then you would agree that its certainly not unnoticable and certainly very offputting to girls. Just to make things worse the other day someone I knew asked me if I was ill because I had white spots on my lip, I just bowed my head and said no Im ok I just need to apply a cream and they will go away,(I wish!!!) As for the spots on the lips my doctor said laser surgery would only leave scars on the lip and it would most probably look worse. Mine are still growing and spreading and Im helpless to stop them it gos way beyond frustrating its just a living hell! Seeing as my lips been ok for most my life up until 19 when they started then you think nothing of your lips. Its kinda like having your arm amputated ofcourse not so bad, but you been normal then all of a sudden you got these things which turn your world upside down. How I would love to have normal lip again something I did have! Thing is I cant expect anyone to understand completely how bad i feel cos knone has it as bad as me and practically knone else has these on their lips anyway. My brothers all fine just ME just ME!! Which of these methods work for sebaceous glands? I have these and I think Fordyce spots - a few clusters off tiny spots at the end of the forskin. Im really desperate to get rid of these, no matter how much people say to live with them, you cant. It looks diseased. I couldnt go further with my last girlfriend cause I couldnt bear to let her see them. Now im gettin together with another girl and really want to get rid of these so something can happen. I know "if she really loves me enough it wont matter" but what about after that? Say we have a bitter break-up and she tells all my mates and stuff? Gonna be nice to live my life being called witty nicknames like "Spotty Dick"! Ive been trying the toothpaste method and I think that did help the small spots but dont think its done much for the sebaceous glands. lilmofo.... I don't think they grow back when you get rid of the ones on the foreskin(i've never had them though)... so, I think you could use PODOPHYLLIN. Its a topic treatment that makes those suckers come right off..... but in my case, because they are around my glans on the penis, they always grow back.. ask your doctor about that. It should work. Trashboy, definately talk to your dermatologist about your spots, the more opinions you get the better. There is no reason to be embarrassed, when I talked to a dermatologist he was easy-going and pretty casual about it. If you talking about treatments like laser, a dermatologist will be helpful in telling you the skin effects of laser surgery, and I think some of them actually perform the procedure. Otherwise, like mine did, they might refer you to a plastic surgeon or something. If they say 'don't worry they are normal', keep probing them with questions so you at least get some information from your visit. Have you completely given up on Iodine? What happened there? I'm at the end of week 13, and this iodine stuff keeps stressing me out, so much effort for so little gain. I'll keep at it though, because I can't think of anything better. IP: Logged |

Thanks kk, yeah I'll definatly have to badger him or her (I hope), I'm headed off to school in 3 months so, I want all this BS behind me for good by then. I did give up on Iodine, I'm living in an appt. now sharing a room with a friend of mine, so those circumstances don't lend themselves well to applying iodine to my cock twice a day and having it fly free while the stuff dries all the time. .
