The reason why I chose to try laser surgery was because I wasn`t confident to try iodine. I had read a few reports on the net about it beforehand and decided to try a local clinic.

Prior to going to this clinic, I went to my local hospital and discussed it with the dermatologist and was told there was nothing that could be done (happened about 5 years too at another clinic).

After talking with the surgeon he recommended getting circumcised too, to keep that area dry. This shocked me since this was something I hadn`t considered at the time and the operation is irreversible(there was also the chance of it stuffing up). He mentioned that there was a small chance that my spots would come back after getting circumcised and if so they would be smaller, but if I just opted for laser surgery to burn off the spots, then they would eventually come back. I was desperate to get these things burnt off so that`s why I opted to get circumcised too. The surgeon had done the operation many times so I thought there would be little chance of stuffing up.

I don`t know whether he was telling the truth, but I chose to believe him.

Well I will go back for another checkup on Friday to see how things are. I`ll keep you guys posted.

Well I went for a checkup today and got my bandages replaced.

According to the doctor everything is good. It has been only a week since surgery so I am still in the healing stage. I would be really surprised if my spots did come back since the doctor really had a go at that area with his laser. I just hope that area heals properly.
My next appointment is next Friday when I will get my stitches taken out.
In the meantime I have to change my bandage on a daily basis.

I'm starting week 14 now, and the PPP have continued to reduce, which can only be good news. Sometimes it looks like some of them have gone for good, which they havent because the roots are still there. But its giving me hope that one day they will dissappear, and then I can stop this damn treatment!

I wouldn't get circumsized to get rid off PPP, thats a pretty big move. Still, at least you've done somethin proactive to get rid of them. Hope it works for ya, just dont beat yourself up if it doesnt, these things involve a fair bit of risk.

Hey guys. I too have prominent sebaceous glands on the foreskin and shaft of my penis. I also have those damn pearly penile papules, PPP around the head of my penis. Have any of you guys had fruitful success in completely removing these things? Personally, I hate mine and would have them removed in a second if it were in my power. I know they're "normal" and benign, but do most girls know about them? I want so badly to be close to girls but I just can't imagine those same girls accepting these things.

Hi, im 16 years old and un-CUT and have had these white bumps on my shaft and overskin ever since I hit puberty. I'm hispanic. I have noticed that hairs grow out of the white bumps then the bumps go away.

**I have been eating broccoli to help the hair folicles come out. Because broccoli raises your testosterone. **

I have found this to work for me only once and have only tried it once.
1)Masterbate with Dove 1/4 Lotion soap for a good 10-20min.
2)Then put some hydrogen peroxide on your shaft and overskin.

For me the bumps became super white and were gone the next morning and NEVER came back. Hair came out were the bumps used to be.

(please note your edit, discussion of illegal activity is not allowed on this board, bfl)

alright, i tried the toothpaste meathod, i put on toothpaste on the bottom of the head of my penis every night for about 2 weeks, let it dry, pulled the foreskin over the penis and went to sleep, after two weeks of doing this every night, the white bumps were almost completly invisible, i stopped using the toothpase and 3 days later the bumps are back, even worse than before, i think the key here is to combine the toothpaste meathod with the iodine meathod. any suggestions?

Hey, this is the first time i've used this and i'm kinda lookin 4 the answers 2 some questions i have. There really all bout me so i'm sorry if i'm not providing any advice 4u other guys.

I have sebaceous cysts on my penis and i think i also have PPP on my foreskin and penis head. I say 'i think' because even though i have been to the doctors, he wasnt really that clear about it!

Just really want to know if it is infectious/contagious to others, ie. my girlfriend, during oral sex or intercourse? or in any other way to be precise?

I really like her but obviously this thing is getting in the way, it would really help if we had some info on it.

I have read a lot of the past notices on this and i'm aware that it is getting some of you down and preventing you from being with a girl. I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound by telling you i have a girlfriend.

I'm not really sure of any remedies, the doctor jus said they 'might' go away by themselves, however this is probably just me being naive and believing him!

Advice on girls, really just keep trying until you find a girl that understands what your going through, if they really like you they shouldn't have a problem.

Cheers, i hope someone can help me.

Well I got my stitches removed last Friday and I would like to say, things went quite well. I still have to wait about 2 more weeks for everything to heal properly.

Would I recommend what I did to other people?

NO

Like a few others have said, what I did was quite extreme. Once you are circumcised, there is no turning back. The area where surgery was performed is at the moment not as smooth as before but quite unnoticeable, so I am satisfied with the results.

About my spots; They are all gone for now. The doctor did tell me that there was a chance of them reappearing, but if it does (and it is bad as before) I`ll just get them burnt off again. I saw 2 doctors prior to getting them burnt off and both told me there was nothing that could be done (I believe they were unaware of such a process).
Again, this is something I chose to do and if you choose to have it done like I have, then please discuss it with the doctor beforehand.

The first week after surgery is a little tough. They told me to try not to have an erection as it may cause bleeding to occur. The area was bandaged so it was hard to have an erection at the time. I also couldn`t sleep on my stomach.
But now I am fine

And also, to JCliff, you said you got it done at 16 but know at 23 it is coming back...Thats a seven year period of freedom.. are you going to get it again? Also, to ImanNewbie, make sure you keep us posted.. Im interested in knowing how you are coming along.. even after everything is healed

PPP is not a disease, you can't give it to your girlfriend. I don't know about seb-glands, but I think its a similar thing.

I'm in week 15 or 16 (I've lost count) of iodine, and I've still got them. I think they are smaller, but I can't really remember what they were like in the first place.

With the iodine treatment, I've noticed good improvement when my skin starts to scab thoroughly, and that they are reduced in size when the light, white scabs peel off. I'm thinking that I can't finish the treatment because proper scabbing is only happening about once a month, and my scabbing cycles are taking too long. Don't know why, because I'm pretty disciplned with doing it at least every day. I'm going to keep persisting though, no idea why, except that I'm so keen to get rid of these things for good. I'm posting this info for anyone who is thinking about trying iodine, coz you could be in for a long haul.

You can buy Hydrogrn Peroxide at like wal-mart and such stores.

I think the thing is that us group of people with sabaceous just have to wash you ***** good. Use some antibacterial soap DAILY. If your gonna beat the beef make sure you wash up after your done.

P.S. also that guy that can't pull his foreskin back !LOL!

To get my PPPs burnt off, it cost me 426.25 USD (I do not live in the US). Best to look around the clinics in your area.

I'm new on this board, im uncut and have had ppp for about a year. I recently had some small red and white bumps appear on the head of my penis. The ppp didnt bother me too much, but this is when i decided to really do something about them. I read up on this board about acne medication ppl have had success with, and began applying Triaz BENZOYL PEROXIDE (A perscription topical acne cream which is supposed to be washed off 20 mins after applied)on my penis. I let it sit for one day, reapllied about it that night after i showered and let it sit for the next day. I then washed it off the next night and my penis appeared free of both ppp and the bumps. this lasted only about a week. When they both returned i figured i needed stronger treatment. I then repeated the same steps as before but after the two days i would leave renin A micro (perscription acne medication) on the area during the day and after a shower. i would use the Triaz Benzoyl as the pimple cream and wash it off in the shower. i did this for about 3-5 days. after about 2 weeks of no reoccurences (the ppp are much much smaller and there are much less of them however are not completely gone)and no reoccurences of the white and red bumps, my skin under my foreskin became very dry. So after my shower i put aloe and soap on the area to moisten it up and keep it sanitized. This method has worked for me, yet i still do experience occasional dryness in which i will put a moisturiser on. hopefully they will not reoccur again but these past 2+ weeks have been well. good luck to all, and if you do decide to try this method, i wish you the best of luck, the the procedure and obtaining the perscriptions for the drugs.

Will it be easy to get a perscription off a doctor for it? I mean, from what most people have said, the doc tells them theres nothin that can be done and sends them on their way.

Im currently using the toothpaste method. Been doin it for a couple of weeks. Ive used it on a little area so i can compare it to what its usually like it and does look a lot better, although it is a bit red at the momment. I know it wont get rid of them forever but atleast it makes it look a bit better...

i would say you could probably obtain the perscriptions i mean they r topical creams so your doctor really shouldnt have much of a reason to deny you...my penis both looks and feels alot better. this method has worked for me so far and if they do reoccur i can reapply the creams every one or two months. good luck with whatever method you choose b/c the end results are worth it.

Toothpaste doesnt hurt me. I put it on the actual foreskin to get rid of the sebeacous glands. After Ive finished puttin it on it does burn a little for about a minute but its nothin really.

So if I went to the doctors and they said theres nothin that can be done for it, I just say Benzoyl Peroxide is supposed to work for it and I'd like to try using it and then they should perscribe it for me?

i am guessing the doctor would prescibe it to you...i mean you could jsut tell him you need it for acne, if he refuses. i used the triaz in cunjunction with retin a micro. for me it made my ppp alot less visable and much smaller. the benzoyl peroxide is just a strong acne medication so i am figuring almost any strong acne medication should help in some way. (while applying any method you should keep your penis clean and dry, especially during application. i would also say try not to masterbate for the 3-4 days the medication is applied.) i was just wondering if anyone knew what the little red and white bumbs on the head of my penis are. because i have had no luck in diagnosing them by researching. they seem to come and go and alternate where they are located. this causes me to reaply the medication on them 3 consecutive days every 2.5 weeks.

good luck to all, and if anyone can offer help on diagnosing/treating the red and white bumps on the head it would be a help

I'm Back.

People with Sabaceous please read this and reply.

I think that the poures on are penis are filling with dirt. This means try not to masterbate so much. If you do masterbate do it in the shower with some kind of lotion soap.

Also my cure seems to get rid of the bumps.
Ive tryed it with Dove "Sensitive Skin" 1/4 Lotion Soap.
1)masterbate the SHAFT of your penis with the soap and wash up and get out of the shower and dry up.
2)Put ALOT of Hydrogen Peroxide on you shaft and overskin.
3)Wait till morning and theyll be gone.

Note: I think you can find Hydrogen Peroxide by Rubbing Alcohol in stores.

i have these white spots, the do not feel elevated or irritate me in any way, on one side of my frenulum (sp?), on the foreskin..they don't all look circular so i know it's not PPP and i'm sure t ain't Fspots but they just appeard, i dunno how long ago. and i am worried, can anyone tell me what they can be? right now my best guess is that they are glands or somesort but i dunno... i squeezed them and nothing happened...just hurt from the pinch. it's a bit hard to notice but when erect or stretched u can see it easily..there are a few bit of them and i'm worried that they will spread. will they? right now the area affected is like the size of the tip of my thumb :-/

Hey Fella's I've applied some betadine cream on mine. Didt sting didnt seem to do anything. I think its probably too mild compared to true iodine. So I applied toothpaste... It stung a wee bit. But the problem was after having it drie up.. going to sleep my foreskin rolled back up and the next morning it was all moist again :S So I had to find some rubber band kind of thing to prevent my foreskin rolling back up.. not really comfortable. but it worked kinda.
But nothing had happened. Other than a redness.. So I figured to lay off. But 2 days later my skin started shedding not like I read with stuff like scabs since is is allways a bit moist. But regretfully those ppp's (on my rim) are still there.. It makes sence I guess only the top layer of my skin shed and those suckers go a lot deeper apparently.. Now I'm in doubt give up or keep on applying either betadine and or toothpaste keep the shedding going... Anybody?
