Hey guys, I'm new here, I've read around abit, and i really hope to get rid of this terrible problem soon. i have this ppp condition, and its driving me crazy. I also have the fordyce spots all over my top lip and foreskin too. im gonna try this iodine treatment for sure, anything to get rid of the little suckers. ppp_fustrated i use to live in perth australia, moved to victoria a few years back. Hi guys i am 23 and have had ppp since age 15 i still remember that first day when they formed there was only 2 they have grown all around the rim of my penis head they are not so bad like some i have seen i have many sexual encounters no women have noticed them or dont care. but my question is do i jsut ask for iodine over the counter, i am also gonna try this tootpaste method but i dont know i dont want scabs i rather be having sex it does not bother me if the girl i am with does not like it its more a personel thing for me. goodluck IP: Logged |

hey guys! i also have PPP and it;s really messing up my life! i dont have sex because of these bumps! there are very discouraging when looked at! i have gone to a doctor and he told me not to worry to leave them alone but i told him i was afraid of rejection! he said he understands BLA BLA BLA and i asked him how to get rid of it he told me only way is laser surgery but i can loose sensation and there will be scarring! so i said F**K it! bad enough i my penis isn't big it';s like 5,5 and i also have a varicocele vein in my left testicle which i will operated on soon! anyways i never thought of the toothpaste i will try that and also i would like to know where to get the iodine? i would love to try it and seee if it works! thanks guys ciao [This message has been edited by ANGELGUY (edited 07-09-2003).] IP: Logged |

I have a strange, pungent odor coming from my genitals mostly when i've been sweating but also at times when I'm not doing anything. I'm not sure if it is normal or not and I think that my PPP contributes to it. If any of you guys have an unordinary smell from your genitals could u describe it for me or if you know what my problem is could you tell me how to fix it. I also have varicocele if it helps. U get iodine from any chemist or pharmacy, and you can get the alcohol swabs there as well. In the wound-care section. If anyone gets an email from that Phillip guy, let the board know so we can tell if its for real or not. Sounds a bit dodgy though, especially if no-one is gettin e-mails back. I'm still trying iodine, its tough mentally. I've been at it for ages. But it does work in some cases, coz it has almost worked for me. So at least give it a try if u thinkin about it. IP: Logged |

ARE THERE DIFFERENT kinds of PPP? like worse kinds and less bad...i think i have the least kind of PPP i mean mine aren't HUGE they are very tiny and havent grown at all!i have read some posts here some saying its spreading ? or something anyways i have this since i was 14 and they haven't spread! i just keep my "AREA" very clean very, like after every masturbation i clean my dick....must keep it clean at all times seriously....tomorrow i will go and buy the iodine! and give it a try ! Hi Shinyhelmut I see you said you had ppp as well as these fordyce spots all over your top lip and your foreskin. Can you tell me just how much of these fordyce you have on your lip and foreskin. On my foreskin its totally covered with these spots on the part of the foreskin that folds in at the end. On my top lip they have made a white line across the underside of my top lip as they are all so packed together. They also growing in middle top of lip and the corners of my lip look like skin because of again the tightness of these spots. On another note has anybody got these prominent sebaceous glands on their shaft which have hairs growing out of them. All my bumps do and I can see loads more just starting to grow. Its very very frightening cos my dicks already infested with excessive fordyce spots + PPP and now sebaceous glands! IP: Logged |

I been using this Iodine treatment for the past 2 and a bit weeks on my fordyce spots and my prominent sebaceous glands. Nothing really seems to be happening yet unforunatly. My foreskin never seems to scab where i put the iodine on the fordyce spots dunno why. On my prominent sebaceous glands im applying the iodine well just to one at the moment just to see, is the Iodine treatment ok to use on these sebaceous glands as they have hairs coming out of each of them? I have used Clearasil (clear liquid in bottle) and it has drastically reduced the size of the PPP and sebaceous shaft bumps have reduced in size but not as much as the papules! The papules are almost not even visible when erect. I'm still looking for something to completely rid me of these annoying things. I have had sex with a female before and she didn't notice them. I was wearing a condom, and she was close up but didn't even notice them. Basically, many guys are afraid to have sex and don't get close to girls at all because of this, but they aren't detectives and wont examine your stuff. Get in that relationship, and have sex! However, there wasn't any oral sex in my encounter. Daily showers (scrub, get rid of dead skin) water, and not letting your area develop too much moisture is the key to getting rid of these things, and Clearasil and other things that dry out the area are good. This is not meant to neccessarily give hope to the 33% of us men worldwide who have this, but it just shows you that if you make an attempt, you can improve your individual situation and have sex! Hey guys i did the toothpaste method. it left my penis really drie which i did not mind the part i did mind is the pain the second night of applying toothpaste the pain was killing me. i used colgate and not the whitening kind i would not recomend this to anyone. ure it cleared my ppp but the pain was unberible. I u are going tto try this i recomend u get a stationary fan and when u apply the toothpaste use the fan to dry ur penis faster. im gonna go to walgreens and by alot of acne medicine and try that then i will try the hydine peroxide treatment. keep u guys updated. Then I apply the iodine to each papule, making sure it doesnt spill and streak over your dick where there are no papules. The iodine is a deep red, almost brown, when its applied properly. I do each individual papule, sometimes redoing it to some that dont get enough iodine. I do this two or three times (takes about 30 minutes if u are trying to apply it precisely - make sure you got good music). Then I wait 20 minutes with my foreskin pulled back, then wipe the iodine off with alcohol swabs, pretty thouroughly. For the next 20 minutes I just make sure that the foreskin is retracted. Ok so i've had these damn ppp for something like 12 years or so and they have stayed pretty much the same.I once tried Duofilm,but admittedly at the time I was very young and stopped only after 2 or 3 treatments because I was afraid of making them worse or spread further.At the time I thought I was all alone with these pesky sods,and only found out 2 days ago that it is common.I once summed up the courage to speak to a doctor about it and he gave me the usual mumbo jumbo that it is perfectly normal.I left just as confused as when I walked in.Well on the up side I had lots of sex,including oral sex with this girl who was very experienced and she never said a thing(Did make it difficult to get a hard on worrying about it though!)My next girlfriend went out with me for over 5 years and never said a thing until about a year ago and then I just shrugged my shoulders,which was the truth because I did'nt really know.She accepted it and that was that,but I suppose lots would'nt be as understanding.I'm single now again so I am worrying about it again 'cos I need sex soon,this masturbating is no good!When I can get my hands on some Duofilm I will try it again 'cos I would assume that it would target more effectively than iodene as it should be stronger,but then I havent tried the latter yet.Come on guys if it can get rid of a massive wart then it should be able to get rid of these little suckers.Let us stand back for a moment and look at the purpose of all these substances like iodene,Duofilm,hydrogen peroxide.The most effective product is the one that will soak the deepest into the skin of the papule with the highest level of destruction so that it can get to the root with the fewest applications possible.This obviously means that it will cause the most discomfort,but hey no pain,no gain(or gone in our case).Anyways im gonna try and get laid soon so I might postpone for a week or two,but when I start I'll let u know.P.S I tried to burn them with a soldering iron out of desperation and hoping for a quick fix.DO NOT TRY THIS,unless you have balls of steel,a shaft of titanium,a diamond head and anethatising agent!I simply could not burn them long enough to have an effect.It feels like you are having an electric shock when it touches one of them damn things.And another thing ,could'nt doctors have called them something better seeing as we supposedly have to live with them and probably will have to explain them at some stage or another. Something like Pearly Love Bumps,or Pearly Pleasure Bumps would be a lot better, and one could even be proud of it,and chics would want it like studded condoms!Then we could close this colum and open up one for guys tring to get them!Ok a bit exaggerated but I still think papules sounds scary and way too much like papilla which is the virus that causes genital warts.If we cant get rid of them then we should at least be able to change the perceptive of them. Hello All. I'm a 24 y/o non-circumcised male with PPP (or P-3). I've had it since I was 14-15, and it was originally diagnosed as a Candida infection, then later PPP. Whilst this condition is said to be normal, I feel there are harmful psychological side-effects that develop as a result of this condition. Most of this can be attributed to living in a society which is well educated about STDs, but under-educated regarding normal anatomical variants. Lately, I've been doing a bit of research regarding PPP, and I've uncovered the following information: Using this information, I'm starting to think PPP is caused by Smegma, Sperm, a combination of both, or oils in the skin. Both Sperm and Smegma are high Alkaline substances, which means the rim of the glans is exposed to a very alkaline environment. On the other hand, the vagina is acidic. The Iodine method seems to reduce the appearance of PPP only because it is killing off a large layer of skin. I believe the underlying mechanisms for the growth of PPP still exist. This method can also be very dangerous if not administered correctly. There was one person on another forum saying that Accutane was an effective treatment, although, this person didn't make it clear on whether or not they had PPP or sebaceous prominence. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that any GP would perscribe Accutane for this condition. I'm going to stick with my smegma/sperm theory for the moment and try applying lemon juice to the PPP. Lemon juice is acidic (2.2-2.4 pH), and it's also a natural spermicide. There should be no painful side-effects like CO2 laser or Iodine. I'll let you all know how that progresses. ok ive been trying the toothpaste treatment for a while now, it seems a few of the smaller spots have vanished, im abit worried they will come back when i stop the treatment though. mattiscool2002, i have them on my upper lip, most of them are in the middle part of my upper lip, also alot of spots all concentrated around the corners too. man, u would think someone would come up with a solution for this problem, with all the stuff we know now days someone should be able to figure this out. ok ill keep u guys posted,... hi i have the overavtive glands ive had them as long as i can remember when i started growing hair on my scrotum they were there the things ive been exposed to is excessive masterbation when i was little i wore to small of underware wich causd some ingrown hairs on my scrotum i live in a humid area thats all i can really thing of does that help ? i have these bumps all over now tho they have been spreding i have them aorund my lips but u can barly see them i gpta spred my skin out, on my scrotum and shaft, i can see some around the hairs on my nipples and i can see them around hair in my butt crack :-/
