fighting for 30 years sleep disorder for my profoundly retarded daughter who cannot speak which makes this extremely difficult. your problem could be neurological and you are concentrated on sleep rather then the brain . watching durgs most of my daughters life has made me very aware of what drugs can or cannot do. there are terrible side effects and good pts, which brings me to the problen of sleep, anticunvulsants are used for pain management they can be used at low dosages for sleep such as deprakote. your sleep problem can be neurological and that is why know one can help you. i hope this helps people. You may contact me by mail, email, phone or post, whatever is easiest for you Lita Carlucci 914 937 3076 litacarlucci@hotmail.com IP: Logged |

Lita, I'm new to this board so I'm only just now reading your posting. You are absolutely right in saying that sleep paralysis could be a neuro problem. It is. I was diagnosed with seizure disorder and during the exam, was asked questions that gave me the courage to tell about these weird sleep experiences. I always thought if I said anything, people would think I was 'nuts'. Who knew that it's a neuro condition that thousands of people, all over the world BTW, have lived with? I'm on Lamictal for the seizures. And the first thing that happened when I started on it was that the SP was under control. That was neither expected nor considered a possibility. Awesome! Good luck to anyone who is still dealing with this horrible condition. Lovelei3 IP: Logged |
