hi. I have a slight problem that I'm trying to figure out. For the past few years i've been plagued by a serious lack of sleep, or perhaps even too much sleep. Here's what my day is like. I wake up everyday at 6:30am, go to work until 3:30-4pm, come home and then take a nap for about 2-3 hours. By the time I wake up I'm feeling a little revitalised but can't get back to sleep until around 1:30-2am. Then the cycle repeats itself. Do I in fact have some sort of sleeping disorder or could this be related to my diet or some other external cause? I always feel tired and don't really feel like I have much energy. I try to take vitamins and eat properly but this doesn't seem to work. What can I do? Is it unhealthy for me to take naps everyday and spread my sleep schedule out during the day?

HI,
I am not an expert, I am just judging from my experience. My dad has been the weirdest sleeper his whole life. He goes to bed at 8 p.m. and sleeps until about midnight, then he gets up and does his homework until about 4-5 a.m., then he goes to bed again and gets up at 7 a.m. to go to work, and he usually takes an hour-long nap after lunch, too! And he is the most energetic and healthy person I know. I think as long as you feel good, it doesn't matter when and how much you sleep. Take care,

Olga
