Hello everyone, As far as I can remember, my sleep routine's like this: I lie down on my bed & shut my eyes. Instead of ZZZzzzz in a few minutes, hours later, my eyes r still wide open instead of "Eyes Wide Shut". I seem to have a tendency to analyze the day's events, how I can achieve "world peace" ... Frens have adviced me to relax. That failed despite me trying several methods. Warm milk, exercise, ... fail, fail, fail. What did I miss out doing? Am I destined for insomnia? I've not watched nor have the interest to watch that movie with same name. Thanks everyone for help. IP: Logged |

Cookie Monster, you are in the same boat as me. No matter how hard I try I can't sleep. I'll just lay there in bed with my eyes closed but I'm still awake. I have so much on my mind and can't seem to just go to sleep like everyone else does.I've tried warm milk, valeran and hops, lavender and vanilla scented lotions and sprays but nothing works. I'm so desperate for sleep I may consider medication. IP: Logged |

I suffer the same - I'm 19 and can't sleep without mulling over my own future for a good few hours. However my own solution is to watch a movie in bed - I've been watching the same DVD every night for 6 months now and it takes my mind off everything. I now find myself sleeping within 20 minutes or so. IP: Logged |

you could try going to a doctor and getting about ten days worth of sleeping pills... then hopefully they will put your "sleeping patterns" somewhat back to normal... then hopefully you wont need the drugs cos your body will be used to sleeping at a certain time every night. IP: Logged |

It is hard to relax and fall asleep when things are twirling constantly in your mind. Have you ever tried to take a sleeping med. Try taking a nice warm bath and read a magazine and take some benydryll or somthing to help you fall asleep. Hopefully this will relax you. Good luck IP: Logged |

I had the same problems you all express...I just started zoloft, and now I sleep..... when you have had next to none for almost a year, sleep is the best thing ever, better than food, better than breathing almost....talk to a doctor, they can help....keep going back till you find something that works for you, you, you deserve to have "time off" at night from your worries.......
