Does anyone else just have anxiety symptoms just appear out of the blue like the dizziness, tingling in arms/face etc. even when you are not anxious about anything? I seem to just start feeling the symptoms for no real reason, I can just be sat down doing nothing and they appear, last a few hours then go away for a while. Am i the only one?

I had anxiety for days and weeks and months at a time. even when I had no reason to be anxious. Have you talked with your doctor? I am sure they can help you. good luck and keep thinking positive. Diana

More research needs to be done into this dreaded disorder I feel so hopeless when i see how many people are suffering from tnis horrid fear and i cant make it allbetter
Maybe if we all wrote to the president of America OR PRime Minister of Australia and told them just how we suffer Maybe they would put more money into research.........not lol

Yes mine can appear completely out of the blue. In fact my whole anxiety problem started overnight! One day I was fine, the next I was a complete mess.

Last week I was walking down the road with some friends when all of a sudden I felt lightheaded and dizzy, and I felt as though everything around me was unreal, even my friends! When things like this happen I try to tell myself that it's just anxiety, nothing to worry about, and eventually the symptoms ease off.

I definitely think that more education on stress and anxiety is needed. I had absolutely no idea about anxiety and what it can do to people before it happened to me. This meant that I was totally terrified of my symptoms, which of course made everything worse.

Maybe we should start up a special clinic?!

Rainbow ...
I feel like you. I can be fine one minute and the next my head starts feeling woozy/lightheaded and I get a headache. Or I will start jittering on the inside. Sometimes it lasts a few minutes sometimes a few hours then I can be fine again.
I know it can concern you because you can feel just fine and then wham-o you feel so out of it, but I believe it is normal with anxiety.
Maybe anxiety is one of the Devil's really messed up jokes ??

I have to agree there does need to be more research into anxiety/stress. I didn't know what it was other than the 'oh your feeling anxious' that everyone has. I didn't know that is could cause so much stress! I still don't sometimes, thats why I always freak when i get a new symptom because i think it is something else other than anxiety.

I keep alternating between colon cancer, heart disease and a major mental illness (like bi-polar, schizopherenia). When I'm anxious I tend to surf the web looking for symptoms!!

My anxiety also comes out of the blue - not related to anything in particular.

I have had the same problem. I could be sitting here typing away on the computer and I will just get a panic attack real quick. I have them when I am just sitting around not doing anything, not even feeling stressed at all. It's a normal symptom, I've done some research on it. My attacks are more provoked by stress, though....even when I'm very slightly stressed.
