I would like some feedback on my question because I always thought that people with anxiety would get dizzy. My other question is, what's the difference between dizziness and nausea? Don't they feel the same?

Hi N2gold,

Not everyone with an Anxiety Disorder will experience Dizziness.Dizziness and Nausea can go hand in hand..you may be Dizzy and have Nausea or you might not. Many hlth probs can cause Dizzy feelings and Nausea, but most of the time the reason for Dizziness in Anxiety is over breathing or Hyperventilation. The reason we feel Nauseated is because our stomach produce an overabundance of Acid when we are stressed or fearful.

This is just me, but in my case the anxiety definitely caused the dizziness. Severe dizziness without much nausea. Of course, until I figured that out, I'd get even more anxious, then more dizzy! Also, I saw a doctor at Stanford to get some help and he told me the most common symptom he sees in people with anxiety is dizziness, bar none.
