I started getting these pimples on my pubic region. I got them after I shaved and friends told me that this is quite normal. But I haven't shaved for a while and new ones started to come out. Before, I knew that they were pimples because they would open up when I squeezed them, but the same is not true with these new ones;even if I do squeeze them, they won't open up. They are tiny bumps. The area itches sometimes. They got me a bit scared. Are they really from shaving or should I start to worry about STDs or smt. Pls help.

Don't worry, they are most likely from shaving and are ingrown hairs. I get them all the time.

I'm no expert but if you're sexually active there is a chance it can be an STD. Unless you know your partner does not have STDs, then it could be pimples or in-grown hairs. I suggest getting it checked out if you're really concerned about it.

If it is a concern then see the doc and get them checked out. Also do not open up or squeeze a pimple as this could spread the infection since pimples and boils etc are caused by the staph bacteria.

They sound lke normal skin irritation / ingrown hairs.

My wife was able to cut down on number of them by shaving when your activity will be diminished (just before bed) so that any sweating will not irritate the follicles. She also applied a good skin cream (aveeno in her case).

Best results are from waxing. Skin stays smoother and far less irritation.

i had the same concern with such a pimple one time . . .freaked out . . . . spent all day praying and sweating, went to the doctor and a dermatologist and they laughed hysterically at me and told me to buy some Oxy pads next time before freaking out . .

lol point it, a mark in any important area like that should definitely be checked out by a doctor if u can . . . but dont scare urself into unnessecary worry . . . just go get it looked at if u can . .

thats my recamendations . . best wishes and God's Blessings,

HGF
