I am currently taking Xenadrine and GNC's Mega Men Multi-Vitamin. Is it ok to take the Mega Men in the morning after my first dose of X? So far I have been taking 2 X's before I get in the shower at 7am, then after I drink a slim fast, some Grapefruit juice and a banana on the way to work, I take my Mega Men. Will they both work to full capacity when taken together like that? This is really the first time I have taken a multi, I did Xenadrine for 2 months last summer and just restarted it this week. Any info on interaction or couteraction would be appreciated! Thanks! IP: Logged |

I don't know all the ingredients of Xenadrine, but i believe that it contains ephedrine. The problem with taking vitamins and ephedrine is that ephedrine tends to inhibit the absorption of a lot of vitamins into the body. It looks like you take the two a couple hours apart, though... so that might be fine. I know a lot of us consult this board in lieu of a doctor, but this one might be a good issue to bring up with yours, if you get the chance. Naxis IP: Logged |

Well, the time span is like this: 2 Xenadrine's at 7am, Vitamins at 8am. So its really only an hour. Maybe it would be better to take the Mega Men at Lunch time, that way there would be a 5 hour gap between. But I have also heard that Multis shoudl be taken in the morning. Also, it could be that since the Mega Men is a Timed-Release multi, the Xenedrine might not block much of its absorbtion. Thoughts? IP: Logged |
