Yes --- it works like regular calcium. For calcium absorption you need to take magnesium and Vitamin D.

I just asked my chiropractor today and he said coral calcium is like anything else from the sea. There are chances of some types of pollutants.I never thought of this.(I have 2 full bottles)He said to go for minerals.

I just bought it. I have heard some wonderful things about it. there are chances of pollutants everywhere. even in the dr office Im sure. Give it a try since you already bought it. my nephew has taken it for a couple of months. he had severe heart burn acid reflux. its gone now.
good luck and let us know if you decided to take it.

Sue,

This is the trickiest part since a lot of people are using Robert Barefoot's name on the product, and he doesn't even know who these people are, nor has he endorsed the product! When all is said and done, I am sure that they will be hearing from an attorney hired by Barefoot. What you are using is fine, just make sure it is marine coral - just look on the label and it will tell ya.

Come... kneel down in awe and gaze in the wonderment that is the kingdom of SYBERSNOTT!

I took barefoot's coral calcium for 3 months and did not notice any difference beteen that and other forms of calcium. I went back to cheaper calcium suplements because I did not think the product was worth the money.

I have taken coral calcium for 3 wks. since we cannot use the name I will give a hint. (if you do not have shoes on you are going-----) get it...
anyway nothing changed for me as of yet. Guess I expected to feel a lot better as far as aches and pains go but nothing. Maybe it takes longer or maybe its another bunch of crap that we all fell for.
been there, done it, have the tee shirt type of thing.
good luck to all that is on it though . I bought 3 bottles so will continue on it until its gone and then back to the cheaper stuff.

I get my Vitamins at a local health food store. He does not carry any coral calcium he says it is no good. And none of the brands of vitamins he carries even offers a coral calcium.

From what I've read on the net, Bob Barefoot's coral calcium was tested and found to exceed the risk level for lead content at more than 1.5 mcg per gram of calcum. It's actually one of the worst! Lead is extremely poisonous and causes deterioration of mental function.

The brands of Coral Calcium that passed the test and found to not contain excessive lead:
*Vitamin World® Naturally Inspired™ Coral Calcium
*Puritan's Pride® Coral Calcium 500 mg
*Nature's Bounty® Earth Friendly Coral Calcium 1000 mg plus Vitamin D.

I get the Nature's Bounty from Sam's Club at a very reasonable price for a huge bottle. Some say any calcium will do, but coral has many more vitamins and minerals.
