I'm thinking about joing WW because it seems to be able to be incorporated into every day life during & after the weight loss portion. I've done about every diet there is and the problem I always had was that after the diet was over I would slowly gain back the weight b/c the same principles I used to lose the weight did not fit into my everyday life so I would never maintain. Anyway WW seems like one of the best programs out there with a lot of success stories. What I'm debating is whether to join the on-line program (which is cheaper) or the in person meetings (which is more expensive). I was wondering if anyone out there has done either or both and what your thoughts were on either. Do you get the same support, services, books, etc with both? I know I would get more motivational support by in-person meetings but wondering if that's the only benefit. Your thoughts/opinions would be most appreciated! ![]() IP: Logged |

I've joined WW several times, and yes it is an excellent program. Just don't get caught up in squeezing refined sugars in for points. Sometimes that can get you in trouble. One of the things that gets me off track with WW is the fact that I know I can have a piece of candy or chocolate, if I count the points. I found those bites of chocolate growing until finally I got off track. Just be careful of that, but it is an excellent program! I went to meetings, but the WW lady was a terrible speaker, so I quit going. If you have a good speaker, I would suggest meetings, if she/he is not motivational, I would suggest on-line. I've never joined on-line, but when I was doing WW, I went to the Daily Thread everyday found on WW.com. Chatted with people and got excellent ideas. I can't imagine the on-line program being bad. Good Luck to you! You WILL succeed at it!!! IP: Logged |
