It will depend a LOT on deductible and what gets covered, etc. Through my group plan it is about $400 a month. My friend has an individual policy for $600 a month with a $500 deductible.

Godamn that's a lot of money. I was gonna go for an indivual plan, but 600 x 12 = 7,200 a year. That's an outstanding amount. I'm guessing your friend is in CT as well, so add $7,200 to the fact that I'm in NYC, and I'm screwed.

My husbands employer payes half. They take 125 per 2 week check.
My employer payes zero and mine would have been 270 per 2 week check.
Keep in mind this is for 2 adults and 2 children. If you are single you may be able to get just for you for about 200-250 per month. Also keep in mind there is usully a 500 deductible you have to pay first, before the insurance picks up the rest, that is PER YEAR!!
Bottom line, we are all screwed.

I wouldn't mind paying $200-$250 a mo. at all.

I had insurance before, but I turned 19 now, and I got droped off my parents policy, which said I had to be a full time college student to be covered... I'm not in college yet, but will be in Aug/Sept. Does anybody think they'll take me back once I get into college, or is it a done deal?

Also, what are some good health insuracne companies? I've heard about hip, blue cross... any others?

Thanks everybody.
