I swear, this is not an ad. I am just so excited about this product, Certain Dri, that I am trying my hardest to tell everyone about it. So many people are ashamed to talk about the problem of excessive armpit sweat, and so am I. However because the internet is anonymous, I hope enough people will hear about this fantastic product here.

I started using Certain Dri about a week ago, and since then I have had NO problem with armpit sweat. I don't even sweat when I am working out or in extreme heat. To most people this is probably not a big deal, but to those who suffered from the same problem I did, for eight years no less, this is next to the second coming.

Please try it, it costs about the same amount as a stick of deodorant, and you can find it online. You can even get it discreetly shipped to your house if you are to embarrassed to look for it in stores.

I found it after a search on dogpile, but I don't remember the exact website. Conduct your own search, I swear, it IS worth it.

Good Luck!

I would think that something that powerful against sweat would dry you out and make you itch. Have you had any problems with that?

that's very intresting. i heard you could get a shot in the armpit to stop the sweatglads from working. some american stars were doing it or something. of course that doesn't help with sweaty palms

Yes I also use Certain Dri and it has helped me immensely. I used to sweat so much my shirt would be soaking wet under the arms. Now I don't sweat at all even when I go to the gym and work out. I love this product!!!

It does itch sometimes, but it really isn't all that bad. I mean, the alternative is much worse, right? It does warn on the bottle that if a rash develops to see a doctor, but so far that hasn't been a problem for me.

Also, I think they make a similar product for sweaty palms. Also, there is the Drionic machine for sweaty palms and feet, and there is a surgery you can have for sweaty palms, but I don't know much about it. Try Maxim or something for sweaty palms before trying anything drastic, like shots or surgery.

I hear they are using the shots for sweaty palms too.
The shots are botox the same stuff they are using
for wrinkles.

Can you purchase this stuff just a drug store, so you don't have to order it online? Also, have you asked your doctor about this product? Cause a person sweats for a reason, and you don't want to totally block the sweating process..right? I find I have a similar problem with sweating under my arms and I hate being wet, I'd be interested to know where a person can buy this. Thanks.

You can usually find Certain Dri at drugstores. Try CVS that's where I bought it.

I found it on a search through Dogpile. It was in an online shopping store that specializes in embarrassing products. They even bill you under a pseudonym, if you are embarrassed about buying it, this is useful info.

As for dangerous, your body still sweats normally out of every other pore. It says that on the bottle, too. But if you are nervous, ask your doctor.

I sweat because of a social anxiety disorder. While this did not cure the anxiety, I do feel more confident when I am around other people now that I don't have to worry about how far I raise my arms.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Tara and Marabelle for responding to my questions. Good for you Marabelle that it works for you and you feel better...that's super. I'm definately interested in giving this a try.
Tara, you said you bought it a drugstore...the name I'm assuming is a US chain? I'm wondering if this product is available to purchase in Canada or if I'd have to order on the net? Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

I just bought some Certain Dri deoderant and was reading the directions and it said to apply at night and not after shaving or after showering. What is with that!!!! For one thing doesn't everyone put on deoderant after they shower and usually in the morning. What does everyone else do?

Products like Certain Dri work by closing the sweat pores. You apply it at night to dry armpits and wash it off in the morning. Then you can use regular deodorant in the morning if you think you still need it. After a week or two you can use it less often, maybe two or three times a week.

You can get your doctor to prescribe Drysol if the Certain Dri doesn't work. Also there's Maxim and Odaban which you can buy over the net.

Excessive sweating is called hyperhidrosis. I'll just mention briefly about the operation being done to cure excessive sweating and facial blushing. It's called an endoscopic thoracic sympathecomy. There are many surgeons doing this operation and they make it seem like a simple thing to do. Please, don't ever have this done without first doing a lot of research.

But if you stop sweating under your arms, wouldn't you just sweat more elsewhere?

Usually using those anti-perspirants won't cause you to sweat somewhere else. If you have the surgery done, then you can be sure that's exactly what will happen. It's called compensatory sweat; sometimes it's mild but not always!

I just wanted to add my comments as well about Certain Dri. I LOVE this product!! I have been using it for about 3 years now and it has changed my life. I used to sweat excessive amounts and could/would not raise my arms away from my sides. In a social situation it would get worse and I hated going out. Not to mention how the sweat ruined my clothes. With this stuff, you put it on at night and then you can go for a couple of days without applying it. I usually use it 2 nights in a row then I can go for 3 or 4 days without it. Word of caution to the women out there: don't apply to freshly shaved armpits un less you love supreme burning pain! Hope this helps.

You can also get drysol in Canada without a prescription now. It is just the certain dri, although a bit stronger I believe. I love it, and am now only having to use it 2-3 times per month.
