This may not be as serious as some of the other problems on this board, but its a hella annoying.

Im only 15 and i got this annoying pain in my lower right back. I had the same problem like a year ago and it took forever to get rid of, when it finally went away i didnt really notcie. But recently I got in a fight and i pulled my lower back. It kills everytime I play soccer or do any physical activity with running and kicking. It's been like this for like 3 weeks.

I just wanted to know if there was a way to speed up the healing process and if there is a way to prevent this cuz it just lasts forever.

Hi theillest and welcome

You...my dear, MUST go to the doctor to find out what is going on. The disks in your spine do not get any blood at all....blood carries our healing agents (oxygen and nutrients). Without that....the disks heal at a HORRENDOUS rate (ssslllooooowwwwllllyyyyy). You are by far....waaaay too young to be experiencing back pain. Please go see your doctor (especially while you are still on your parents insurance plan), and tell them everything you can about your back's history. You are so young. I would REALLY hate to see you suffer for the rest of your life. And that is exactly where you are heading right now, sweetie.

Can you even imagine having this back pain (getting worse) in say....10 years from now. You will only be 25 years old...quite possibly in the workforce working 8 hours a day, commuting, and then having to make dinner, clean house, blah-blah-blah....with all that back pain? Let's not even go into the fact that you may want children some day (if you are a female)--not good with pain in your back.

Please tell your parents of your pain and have it checked out. Maybe you should have an MRI done...that would be my suggestion. Good luck to you...and please, take care of your back and your future.

Hi Theillest,

I am sorry for you that you are having this problem so young. I sympatise with and feel for you. That should not have happen to you or any young person. There is however one thing that does happen and that is the fact that there isn't enough info out there for keeping someone's back so healthy. I was in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 26 years and retired as a Veteran but not once, was I ever shown the special back exercises to do to strenghten my back. It took over 5 years of going to hospitals, one month a the time per year, until I found a British Female Therapist who really took me under her wings and shown me how. It has been over 28 years and I have not seen a hospital yet. Knock on wood!

Most likely, you will have to see a doctor and possibly a specialist but in the future, you should try to seek someone with the knowledge in exercises to strength your back. You are not the first one that I hear of or I see having back problems and you will not be the last.

Wish you good luck and hope that you recover very quickly.

Can someone help ease my fear of L4-S1 fussion surgery? I've been in constant pain for over 2 years now tried all the conventional treatments and epidural injections without success. This is my last choice in hopes of relieving my pain & hopefully back to a somewhat of a normal life. Unfortunately I've packed on the pounds from inablility to walk & stand for more than 1 minute which increases the pain. Anyone else have the same problem & concerns?

Hi Theillest,

I have an other example for you to view and see that there are special people out there.

My wife had a very similar problems like yours and we came to find out that there was a nerve fixer/relocator called: " Ramancheur " in the Province of Quebec, Canada that was dealing with this kind of problems. She had the Sciatic Nerve pinched in the spine, beween the L4/L5 and S1. It took approx. 15 minutes to fix it and my wife came back out of the room walking much better. I was extremely surprise the find out that it was only that so we drove back home in the Maritimes. Since then, this man has been teaching me some of his technics and came to find out that my wife had it again recently so, I applied this special technic that I had learned and it worked. My wife is better again. I am now getting her to do Special Back Exercises so that it does not reoccur ever again.

Just to let you know that if you search out there, there are people who can help you with your problem.

Good Luck

Hi,
My back problem started when I was 14! Nobody realized the problem was my disk till it was too late. when they found out I had to get surgery right away. What I recommand you is to go to a doctor. Try to get second openions for sure. I think you would benefit from physical therapy the most. Physical therapy will make your back strong to do your activities. Please dont ignore it!
