I recently purchased one of those mascara brands that claim to curl your lashes without having to use an eyelash curler..I think it was cover girl. Anyway, I thought, this will be great no longer having to use the eyelash curler.

Well, don't waste your money! The mascara did not curl my lashes and I still had to use the eyelash curler.

Has anyone else tried these & what did you think?

I have very long and generally straight lashes, and I have used a curler for almost 10 years. About a year ago, I tried one of those curling mascaras myself. Until that time my favorites had always been Max Factor's 2000 Calorie and Mabelline's Wonder Curl. I first tried L'Oreal's Curling Mascara and then Clinique's. To be honest, for the high price tags attached to those brands I didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth. I have since gone back to Mabelline; the price is great, I don't always need to use a curler, and it doesn't flake off after a long day. Hope this helps, personally when it comes to curly lashes I'll stick to the old fashioned way.

Ginger, I agree with you...I think Maybelline makes the best (and least expensive) mascara of them all. I'll also stick to using an eyelash curler & mascara.
Thanks for your input. -Robin

Maybelline is the best mascara ever!! It is even cheap over here in the UK!! I have never found a mascara that curls as it says it does though.

One thing I do is when I apply ther mascara to the outer lashes, I hold the brush upside down(so my hand is above the eye)and pull it upwards thru the lashes. It really makes the outer lashes curl out, and kinda looks like you have false ones on too! Give it a try!

You could also consider getting your eyelashes permed and tinted by a professional. It is sort of a new practice but is becoming very popular. I heard that it is great?! i am unsure of the price but might be worth looking into - especially if you never have to use an eyelash curler and mascara again! Good luck!
Tracey.

I permed my lashes once. It cost 20.00 and only lasted a few weeks and I don't think they turned out great to begin with. I wasn't impressed.

ok i probably have the worst eyelashes in the world. Eye lash curlers do nothing without the right mascara. So this is what i use....first dab on a little powder to your lashes before you apply your mascara, this will give you thicker lashes, and i recommend you use maybelline volume mascara, its the best and it really does give volume, its great. Apply around 2 coats and you'll be right!
