I have moderate, persistent acne, that I am trying to get rid of(a whole nuther topic!). And while I know I should just quit wearing make up all together, that is just not an option for me, b/c I am so self concious about my acne. Does anyone know of any good make up products, i.e. foundation, powder, eye shadows, and etc., that are better for acne prone skin? Or even any cosmetic products that my actually help heal and treat acne? I always buy non comedenic(sp?) cosmetics, as they are better for acne prone skin. I welcome any and all suggestions, ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have the same skin problem as you. I really enjoy Revlon's Skinlights line. Some are a little too shimmery, so you have to make sure you buy the right kind or your acne will look worse! Personally, I use the lotion in Natural Light. I'm a redhead with pale skin, and I've found it hard to find the right things without making me look like a clown, but this kind works great for me. I usually apply a bit it to my cheekbones - like you would blush - and a little less over the eye. If I happen to have a pimple on wherever I apply it, using the lotion actually makes it easier to cover with concealer - that's always a plus. The thing is, it's pretty expensive - 9, 10, 11 dollars. I'd recommend waiting until you see a sale at Walgreens advertising it on sale. Check papers/magazines for coupons, too. It does last quite a while though, so it may be worth it for you. IP: Logged |

Hey try posting this on the acne board-you'll probablly get tons of replies. I used to have bad skin and I found a maybelline stick makeup was really good. Didnt cause pimples, had a powder finish (minimal oil! IP: Logged |

thanks so much for your reply, I will definately check it out. I soooo wish that I didn't even have to wear make up, but it looks as if I'm doomed for a while. Thanks for all the great tips! ------------------ IP: Logged |

i recommend clinique's clarifying makeup. it works good for me and keeps my face oil-free from morning to evening, compared to other foundations that i have used before (eg. clinique superbalanced makeup). i dont need much touch ups throughout the day and it heals and conceals at the same time! not all people suits this foundation, but it works really great for me and many others too IP: Logged |

Try Neutrogena's Skin Clearing line. A bit pricey for drugstore makeup, but it's helped me loads. IP: Logged |
