LOL Saphie! Okay, I will start. Why is it that men don't get cellulite and women do? I know there is a reason and I heard of it before. But I just think it is unfair!!! lol IP: Logged |

CELLULITE............GAHHHHHH.........UGHHH!!!!!!!!! I had been beating myself up for years...thinking if I did just one more lunge, or stayed on the treadmill just a little longer it would go away...not a chance. I found out about this place that does treatments that targets cellulite and for the first time someone was actually explaining to me that IT WAS NOT MY FAULT that I had cellulite, what a relief to find out that I could stop dieting like a crazy person and I did not have to beat myself up anymore only to not get results. I used to have cellulite for several years. Cellulite is caused by built up toxins in fat cells and/or poor circulation. Alcohol and caffeine conribute greatly. I am a naturalist and am always making my own magical beauty oils, and trust me girls, they worked! I excercised the areas that had cellulite and massaged it with a special oil. Tanning also helps with the appearance. The herbs butchers broom and gotu kola help with your circulation and have been proven to work. Green tea helps eliminate toxins that cause cellulite. Good Luck!!!! IP: Logged |

Cellulite in men versus women is a physiological difference in their tissue makeup. The skin's underlying connective tissue in women is different from that of men. What happens in women is that the connective fiber is thin, sinewy, in areas and although the fat itself is evenly distributed beneath the skin, the pockets created by the connective tissue gives the skin a puckered look. I'm sure the herbs can't hurt, only help, but you can't really do too much about getting rid of cellulite. Losing weight, etc., all the things you've heard I'm sure. I work out like a fiend, run every day, spin, etc., and drink a ton of water, and have eaten healthy for 25 years and I have plenty of it. Here's something interesting. They do say to avoid caffeine to help with cellulite. However, here's a trick that all the big models use to help with their cellulite. When you make coffee, take the warm coffee grinds (or nuke them to warm them if they're cold) and put them on your leg. It's best to do this in the bathroom, sitting on the tub's edge and putting newspaper down on the floor around you as most of the grinds will fall. But take the remaining grinds and pat them into the skin. Then wrap the leg or whatever area in saran wrap and use a rolling pin to knead the grinds into the skin. Leave it on a bit, then wash off. They say this will help. It uses the same principle as the creams which use caffeine as well, but this is obviously a more direct topical approach. The doctor who finds a solution for cellulite will be a gazillionaire with his first gazillion coming from me! Tanning helps the appearance but now I'm paying plastic surgeons and dermatologists for the damage from all the years of tanning! Massaging in the shower every day may help some, who knows. But I'm game to try the herbs. Thanks for the helpful hint! [This message has been edited by szuszi (edited 02-01-2003).] IP: Logged |

Endormology is temporary. You have to keep it up for maintenance unfortunately. I did plenty of research on that, lol. IP: Logged |

I cannot believe how messed up this is... I cannot get rid of my cellulite..It honestly ruined my social life. I cannot even stand to look at myself without pants on. It seems to get worse everyday. I have not even thought about wearing shorts since I was a young teen. I do not even have children yet... I can just imagine how much worse it will be by then. This literally SUX!!! They need to come out with an inexpensive treatment for those who cannot live with themselves!!! AHHH!!! IP: Logged |

CELLULITE STINKS! I am with you all the way! I keep hoping for some miracle. Maybe they will discover Botox works on it? I mean if it can rid us of wrinkles, why not butt dimples? Until then, I just keep hiding my ass in black and NEVER wear bathing suits! Ha! IP: Logged |
