Does anyone know if cutting your eyelashes will make them longer? Just something that I've heard...

I really doubt that if you cut your lashes it will make them any longer. I would be worried as to if they would grow in fully at all. If you have short lashes maybe you can try a really good mascara. I know some claim to make lashes look fully and thicker.
might be worth a try before you start cutting.

In most asian countries parents usually cut the lashes of their kids to make their eyelashes longer.

I can't say that I've ever heard of anyone cutting their lashes to make them grow, but my cousin used to pull hers out when we were younger (BAD nervious habit) and to this day they have not all grown back in. Just a thought.

Well, I have always had long eyelashes and after applying mascara they look longer...i've had many people ask me if they are fake, but of course they're not! Well, about three years ago someone told me that if I cut my eyelashes they will grow longer and stuff...well, needless to say, I was goofy enough to do it! I walked around with short eyelashes and they grew back...of course they were same length! So I looked funny for no reason and I don't think I would EVER do it again! I would rather wear fake eyelashes if they were short than cut them...I would say that the individual lash application would look more natural. My friend wears fake individual lashes moslty on the outside corners of her eyes and they look real! Well, I guess I have rambled on enough huh? heeheehee Good Luck!

hi, there was a post earlier about cutting your eyelashes to make them grow longer and believe it or not, i tried it. i cut a tiny bit of my bottom lashes and it took a little while but i do believe they're a bit longer. i already have pretty full and long upper lashes so i'm not sure if i'm going to cut those. how weird does that sound, women cutting their eyelashes to make them grow, haha. anyways, i thought i'd share my experience...

my mom told me that she cut my eyelashes when I was a kid. she did it when I was sleeping and I have long lashes. I have a friend with long lashes and she said her mom cut hers as a child. So maybe it works if they were cut when you were young. who knows, but i'd be too scared to try it now. i'd be horrified if they didn't grow back.
